Installing Diesel Heater in My Cargo Trailer Conversion P2 E637

After a couple weeks delay waiting for a part, I finally have my diesel heater installed and working!

Nice heater install ! When you showed the air bubbles on the fuel line I noticed that the line runs through the metal framing. You should get rubber grommets to cover the metal edges where the fuel and/or electric lines run into these holes. From what I understand, vibration will cause the lines to erode , enough to cause a serious problem. You don't want a fire from leaking fuel or from an electrical short. Almost any decent hardware store will have those rubber grommets in stocks. I look forward to your next show!

I just got one of those all in one diesel heaters to install in my ambulance rv. Putting it in one of the outside storage compartments and running the heat intake hose into the main living area.

Order a couple extra fuel pumps, pumping that far of a distance may cause them to fail faster. But good job on getting it to work.

You may also want to put some sort of off mesh filter cheesecloth as an input filter to the heater to keep the dust and dirt out I've also seen the heater blower start to make noise when they get dust in them

You can order a fiberglass heat wrap material from Amazon, with stainless steel zip ties. The exhaust on these heaters are hot enough to star a fire. Good luck with your heater.

Make sure there is a breather hole on the fuel tank to avoid an airlock.

Make sure that the output for your hot air all the hoses and fittings can withstand the heat because I have melted plastic with those on accident and I would hate for you to melt the fittings or hoses and or have a fire. But other than that great job, remember we are our own worst critics don't let a failure or mess up discourage you.

Every person I've seen installed these diesel heaters sre doing the same thing and having similar problems. You need to make sure that you get fuel all the way through your fuel line to the pump before you turn it on. After you put the diesel in your tank remove the fuel line from the pump allow gravity or suction to get all the diesel all the way to the end of the fuel line then connected to the pump. These click type pumps have a hard time pulling air out of the fuel line

Not the best type of fuel filter either. Looked like a breach on the screw cap.

You're going to enjoy the warmth. When I turn my heater off it automatically ramps up to full for a couple of minutes to burn off the carbon build up

Good job, I've been making vinyl stickers for awhile now and to get them just right was a pain, after 40 years working with comouters I thought it would be easy making stickers but it took me quite a few tries just to make mediocre one but with practice in getting better. You just gotta try it out ain't going to work period. My time with computers was mostly networking so graphics s something I didn't have time for til I retired. Anyway I get long winded trying to explain things. Great job can't wait til the next video. Question are you going to visit your sister in orygon before you come back east? Ttfn
