Congratulations on your drip tape irrigation! That is a time saver for you guys! Have you tried pickled beets? Just cook them for 20 min whole in the pressure cooker. Cool down, peal them, dice them and place thembin a jar with apple cider vinegar, salt. Refrigerate them, add them tovyour salads, falafel sandwiches, whatever. So yummy!

You are correct. The reason you want the emitters facing up is so all of the tubing fills with water first. Otherwise you will have weak watering at the far end of your irrigation lines, if at all.

Jason, One of the best things about your video's is you do what you do in the raw. Meaning....you film as you are doing something and don't edit out or do it first and then film. You show the success and failures or leakages etc. People learn from mistakes and it is refreshing to see someone film the whole thing and not fear if what you just did didn't work. Thank you.

Hey Jason, just keep in mind that they carry low, medium and high flow drip tape. I’m not sure if the exact numbers, but most drip tape carries .65 galling per hour, per 100ft. So just make sure you leave your water on, long enough to get adequate water for your veggies. It could take anywhere from 6-8 hours, just to get a gallon of water out of each emitter.

After having gone through a massive drought here where i live in Australia, you guys have just convinced me that its time to install a drip system. I have a huge dam (pond) that i usually draw from to water my gardens using a sprinkler system, but this year for the first time the water in the dam dropped so low that i could not get water up to the garden. So thank you for thos video which has given me inspiration to swap over. Btw. Your beets look amazing. I love roasted beets too but i usually plant so many that i turn them into beetroot relish and pickled beetroot. ❤❤❤

Jason, in the future when using the poly pipe that is rolled up try this process to make it more manageable. There are 2 ways to deal with such rolls of poly pipe. !. literally roll it out and pull it into place instead of flailing with it all over the place. 2nd way useful for inside places like your greenhouse is to anchor the one end where you will attach it to the water source then carefully unroll it into place as you progress thru the planting area keeping it together as you unroll it into place where you want it placed. You do either of these once and get the hang of it and you will never do it any other way again. Trust me I have had to unroll hundreds of yards of this pipe in various circumstances. You will not be messing up your plantings or struggling with the pipe ever again.

Jason, we use drip tape in our raised beds and along a short hedge. I have the garden on an auto system with 8 zones/valves along with the lawns. In triple digits or when I'm planting seeds I run the garden multiple times a day for a shorter period. When established you can turn off the tomatoes as needed to prevent splitting when other plants need more water. It's less stressful and allows some freedom to not be a slave to the garden. We've utilized drip irrigation since 1986, I won't garden without it! Blessings Jan
