Installing EV charger with Load Management. 40A charger on 70A service.

Ct clamps should be install in the main load side so it reads entire unit circuit load and it will adjust you have it to a sub panel that doesn’t have a load unless car charger is in use

Can the CT be connected in such a way that it reads only non-charger loads? Is this type of connection possible that the CT will read only non-EV loads please answer

in Makitas the chuck makes 3 clicks to the right when to crimp and one left to secure. See if that is applicable in Milwaukee also.
