Installing Evo X intercooler on my Ralliart (1st attempt)

Due to unforseen circumstances as noted in the video, I was unable to fully install my Evo Intercooler. I have parts on the way, and will be installing as soon as it gets here!

I ran into the same issue on my 2015 RA. Had to put back the oem one and order the special coupler online. I'm in central FL too. Mine has boost pill, evo x bpv, evox intercooler and UICP. K&N air box filter and GST basemap that was tweaked to allow brake boosting while the car is running. Something that isn't possible on the later turbo lancers. Check my videos. I have a 0-60 with a timer. High 4s are pretty good for what I have.

The coupler connected to the upper intercooler piping, is it the same Ralliart coupler or is it the evo x sized coupler?

How did you take off the ralliart bushings with the little metal ring inside? Did you just use a screw driver? I just bought the evo x oem intercooler and it didn't come with the bushings for the bolts on the bottom. Just wondering are they easy to take off the ralliart intercooler and put it on the evo x intercooler

Yea I just used a screwdriver. They pop out pretty easy

Snyds, just got me a 2015 ralliart. I do want better brakes. Would you recommend new brake rotors and pads I assume? If so what manufacturer and models would you recommend?

Since you have a ralliart, id give ralliart revolution a follow on facebook. Best place for info and some of the members build brake kits. Id go with one that they make!

Good video brother very impressive. I have a question please. I own a Ralliart 2011 would the parts of lancer GT, suspensions and down parts fits into it? I’m really confused because where I live there are only 5 Ralliarts in the entire country the rest are Evo Xs and lancers EX and GTs. Even the dealership doesn’t know what parts to put on my car lol

Hey man looking at installing the EVO X intercooler on my ralliart, If i was to use the stock evo x lower and upper intercooler piping, do i still need the HPS coupler? thanks

+Firstegags Lastsfsa youll only need it if you don't have the the evo coupler. Did you check out my LICP video? Hopefully it helps answer

hey dude idk if you still respond to comments or not, i have a 2011 RA, i just bought an evo x intercooler for it, but it has no piping at all. All i would need is the coupler for the licp, and then buy an evo x uicp? or if i get a coupler can the stock ra uicp fit ?

Yup all you will need is the coupler for the licp, however i highly suggest you swap that for an evo x. It's highly restrictive. And no, youll need the evo x uicp. I actually have the ultimate racing installed now

My intercooler was a nightmare to install. It had some defects from the factory so it wasn't a perfect fit and since my evo is an 08 the couplers were basically stuck to my stock intercooler and took me over an hour to get them loose. 😂

I bought the same thing you did man but i don’t have the lower intercooler pipping will that be okay until i get the lower parts? I have the upper ralliart ultimate racing and an evo FMic will i be okay to not have the lower pipes?

Yea you'll be okay. Going to have to buy a reducer clamp though. The fmic side will be larger than stock pipe. Need to connect them with a reducer
