That heat exchanger you removed was the plm original size replacement. The oem one has plastic end tanks.

The one you took out (radiator) may be aftermarket, i found couple that you can mount at woth those bolts and the one i bought for my car had same mount location.

Very nice install video, super usefull and step by step! If you were to do the killer chiller in the future do you need all the cooling systems anymore or do they get thrown out the window basically? Would you still have the primary and secondary heat exchnagers there if you got a killer chiller ?
@evogt87022 жыл бұрын
So from what I've heard and read online apparently when you go chiller the heat exchangers get thrown out. Probably because the chiller pump and reservoir sit in the trunk and thats how all the coolant is routed.
@rulz55132 жыл бұрын
@@evogt8702 so hypothetically if you install a killer chiller that’s the most amount of cooling u can do to the car, and also the best thing u can do for max performance?

Is this all the same on my 05 S55 AMG?

See if you can replace 90° with something else, 90 creates high flow resistance.

Nice video, why did you choose no expansion tank? I have the under hood tank running a purple coolant through my secondary (which I used a Yamaha atv radiator that was bigger than the vrp secondary)for the supercharger, and the original coolant tank running blue coolant through a larger Frozen boost heat exchanger for the engine coolant.
@evogt87022 жыл бұрын
I just didn’t wanna spend the money for it at that point. I’m going to get one in the future but I’m also considering going chiller so it might be pointless.
@beast_e55_amg2 жыл бұрын
I have the under hood tank and it does great, me personally I wouldn’t do the killer chiller seeing the results from what I have working. But just to be extra if I could go back… I would go with a larger trunk tank. And probably coulda found a larger trunk tank cheaper if not that same price as the under hood tank.
