I think you should swap the GTI Axles to the Savoy then you could use the adapter from epytec for around 25€ from ebay and use the 312mm Brakes from the V5 20V, calipers, caliper holder brakediscs and pads on the savoy. The only issue then you need wheels in 5x100 16 inch.

I did a swap myself on a 1.4 with complete hub and brakes / engine from a 2.0 van. Drove fantastic and was done in a weekend. 😉

The coilovers are cool. I'd have gave the arches a power hose and clean up when I was in there. Can't wait to hear the V5 in a Mk3. Please put a induction kit on it so we can hear the V5 properly.

Those are really nice! It seems like the front ones come pre-loaded with strut bushings and bearings. If that is so, are they replaceable like the stock ones or are there any bushings and bearings in these front coilovers?

Hey great video man ! I watch all of your videos and love that you live in Deutschland & are from the states. Man I would be drooling over all the sweet 90’s & early 2000’s German cars over there (man you are one lucky guy) I live in Maryland and have had many waterwagons, but the color of that Savoy is beautiful, not to mention the color match of the coil overs. I have a 2008 R32 as a daily driver, and a 1997 driver’s edition VR6 GTI in my garage as a project car for like five years now pfff,and am getting depressed on how long it has been sitting. Between my job,and my side job working on atv’s and motocross bikes as a side job for extra cash. Anyway I have a shit ton of high quality parts to get the mk3 done the rite way. I have a set a H&R cup kits on it now but I have been thinking about coil overs, any suggestions? Also on my mind are an air bag set up,but what ever time it takes, I just want to make sure that it is done

So those top hats look like they give you more negative camber with the offset on the mounting. Did you notice if it says how much?

I couldn't adjust the spring rate on the highest coilover option. Mk3 Cabriolet 1.8 66 kW. Only the color and lettering. Not that I need them now, but would be nice.

Maybe you can paint those calipers and drums in a color as close as the car and the coilovers as you can find, that'd look sick!!

If you are putting the v5 in the savoy, why not try to fit hubs, control arms, brakes ect. from the mk4 v5 and see if it fits??

Love how the wife is hands on too 👌good marriage right there 😝👍 The Savoy is coming along so damn nicely! I cant wait until its all done.
