Dental Floss did the Trick , Thanks Dude. My experience on this on others - dont use your hands directly to avoid any cuts . Use towel or cushy material as a buffer to hold the fishing line or dental floss .

on A7M4 the original 3angel doesnt move at all. But if you do it this way without a 3angel part its almost impossible to remove it without cuting the peak design...

My V4 links came with a pair of split rings. Their purpose is to use them on camera's like the Sony where the normal ''eye'' is too small.

@@AerialPixel My wife and I both recently got Slide straps and the included anchors (I can’t say I know which version, but I guess relatively recently manufactured ) do not fit by this method, there’s just not the space. Hopefully it works for some peoples versions though. I snapped braided dyneema fishing line... felt like I might bend the camera fixture haha. This is with my a-5100 and her a7c. It seemed as though the nylon anchor would sooner peel down it’s black outer weave. We tried fresh new anchors at different positions to get a fresh ‘fold’ for the eyelet hole, but none would would. If you have any further tips they’d be really appreciated, thank you. 🙏

Why not keep the clicking clacker things on it, seems the nylon cord going through it would make it stop click in and clankin? Or no.

I took them off because with them you still get the sounds transmitting through, even using an external mic. You could still hear them rattle a bit with the Anchor Links attached to the metal rings.

Do i destroy those tiny holes, because peak design anchor v4 is thicker than the hole.. I put it threw and everything is secure.. But overtime does it destroy those metal things?

I wish Sony would just make the eyelets slightly bigger. Unfortunately with the latest Anchor Links being so much thicker it makes it even more difficult, if not impossible, to install them. You shouldn't be able to mess up the metal eyelets on the camera.

Hey person reading this in 2022 or later. This method doesn't seem to work on the A7iv (and likely newer unreleased cameras), because Sony decided to make the hoops on the camera slightly thicker. Don't rip a hole in your new camera. Have a nice day.

The newest Anchor Links have thicker cord on them. The A7iv mounting points are identical to the previous models. It still works, just takes even more muscle than before.

There are 4 different Versions of the Peak Design Anchors out there now. The current V4 Links have a thicker cord again so they might not fit.

I've found you just have to work with it, it's like undoing a knot that has been tied for years. I was able to remove mine without a lot of trouble, just got to work it loose.

I tried this with all my force and it's not moving. Any ideas? Tried soap and it didn't help. Floss is starting to eat into the link so I stopped

I have heard that in the latest batch of Anchor Links they have made the cords a bit thicker, it may be near impossible to do now without drilling out the holes :(

If I am not annoyed by the sound these Sony jingling edges produce, Can I install the peak design slide strap directly on them and does it affect the stability in any way?

No you can install them directly on the metal clasps, I just couldn't because I use my A7iii on a gimbal a lot for video.

@@AerialPixel I think it is easy to do on A7 series cameras.. I have a6600 and it is very tough to pull it thru .. maybe the opening is smaller on the aps-c bodies...

Peak Design has increased the cord thickness in the latest generation, it is more difficult now.

thank you, god damn stupid sony even on a74 it is still this shit design. another common item, tooth floss, those works too. another tip, the latest anchor work better on sony due to thicker wire, made them almost lose-free after they are attach in this way, where as the old ones, they kinda still want to hit the camera body as it moves around .
