Good video, but you didn't include the torque spec. The shop manual says 44 ft. lb.

I replaced the "Xmas like" lights with pods which makes a nice look and more noticeable on turns with the integrated tail and pods on the back

Looks more substantial that the Kawasaki OEM frame slider accessory.

Nice vid! Are the paddock bobbins of the z900rs M8 or in a different size?

nice vid michael! im thinking this is only a first step, i have the ones you have diff brand (i wanted 6") abs plastic very similar, threw the axle fork and swing arm savers and engine + radiator covers coming soon, ill probably make a short about it eventually basically im wondering about the pedals and shifters, would really like something there too even with all that id still be looking at possible footpegs and lever damage, almost for sure handlebar straighten or replace if i ever fall off any thoughts ? seems like the center stand holes or that rear center frame mount could support something ive seen stunt bike set ups and thats way too much

Nice bike. I have the z650rs green 😊

Love the 650rs as well, that parallel twin is a great motor

Curious why you went with the round sliders instead of the teardrop shape R&G also offers for the bike. Do you prefer this look or do you think the round is sturdier / better?
@MChappysGarage5 ай бұрын
Honestly I just went with these due to looks, but that's all personal preference

They look great but you did failed to install loc tight on thread. I have a 2018 red and love it. Z900RS.

Nice video mate, what paddockstand do you use, i have scratches on the back frame due to the little bobbins ? I see a long bolt there with your stand, looks perfect! Greetz from belgium

Kawasaki recommends in the owners manual putting spools / bobbins on the swingarm only when in use. They say they can cause swingarm / muffler damage if left on the bike. I use the standard lift padded pins on a Pitbull stand (everything else is a toy in comparison). The standard lift pins work great with the Pitbull stand because of the way the swingarm is constructed. I butt the pins up to the circular point on the swingarm (where spools would thread in) and it just so happens a natural cavity exists here because there’s a welding bead a finger width behind that circular part of the swingarm. A perfect secure fit for the Pitbull pins - it’s solid as a rock and so easy to lift. If the swingarm were angled more steeply like some other bikes I wouldn’t use this method but the Z900RS swingarm is almost parallel to the ground.

The paint of z900rs is superb! Just want to know is the slider protect the tank from tip over? The beatiful tank is the best part of this bike
@MChappysGarage Жыл бұрын
It does protect the tank. If the bike flips or something then it may not

When I removed the top engine bolt my engine moved enough to Where the bolt wont line up through the frame and the threads of the head, any tips to try and get it lined up? My bikes down until I can get it to thread in. Im mechanical and own my own service company so I understand mechanics
@MChappysGarageАй бұрын
@@imthatguy1878 engine probably dropped down a tad, not sure if you removed both bolts at the same time because if so it definitely dropped down a little bit. I’d just take the headers off or find a good spot to jack then motor up just a hair. It pivots near the front where those bolts were
@imthatguy1878Ай бұрын
@MChappysGarage thanks for getting back to me but I finally got it this afternoon, I had only taken the one side bolt out but the Instructions never said to brace the engine with a jack. I locked it into my condor stand and once I started jacking it realigned and was able to get it done

On my 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS the Front Engine Mount Bolt torque specification is 44 ft-lb. from the factory service manual The generic 10mm specification is 26 ft-lb. So, 26 ft-lbs. should be fine for most years and models. If you want to go for the gusto, you could go up to 44 ft-lb.
