Thank you Tony. This was quite good. You turned a 1989 Lincoln Town Car to a modern car with the features. I was telling some people it would be interesting to see a 1983-1984 Oldsmobile Ninety Eight with those features. I have often wonder if anyone could place modern features on a car from the 1980's. You clearly can. I saw someone do it with a 1981 Pontiac Bonneville. I have seen them all over You Tube. I just saw you do it to a Town Car. It has keyless remote, trunk release and so much more. Just wow. I appreciate the fact you can do that. I think it is great you did this for your parents.

Thank you! I put it on the white one for them 15 years ago, so they were quite used to having it. Great Christmas present! You do have to have fuel injection to add remote start, but remote keyless entry is usually fairly simple on anything with power locks.

@@tonyscarcare5657 The Bonneville I saw had a modern engine installed. He owner put digital gauges in the car and the features you mentioned. I like how clean your transition is and appears. You clearly know what you are doing. I just know it can be done on cars. Thank you so much.

I was also wondering about the 83-84 olds and Buicks for remote start. The 5.7 diesel would probably work for remote start. Not sure how the glow plugs would work though.

@@FencerowFinds1965 It can be done and it makes everything interesting. I saw it here and on older Pontiacs , Oldsmobiles and Buicks. Just imagine of the older designs of the past had the features of today.

Wires, not my favorite things. But sometimes you can't avoid them. In this case, you're doing a good deed for loved ones and better you than me lol. I do have factory remote start on my 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan and when it's really cold the heated seats and heated steering wheel automatically come on with remote start so they are already warm for me before I get in and turn the heat on front and rear. Such a delight. My '05 Lincoln Town Car could benefit from this aftermarket install and make me not choose the Dodge on really cold days for sure!

Hello Mr. Tony - Excellent Video. We watched this several times and your skills are phenonmenal. How you can follow those electrical diagrams and instructions is amazing. Tony, such a great video, it's easy but very time consuming. So, if you're in the house and you want the car started in the garage for the heater to warm up the car or the AC to cool the car down in the summer, I assume that when you park the car the night before, you're going to have the HVAC Selector Switch on heat or AC and the Fan on high? Also, when you remote start the car and go outside to get into the car, do you just insert the key into the ignition and turn it to run, or do you shut the car off by pressing the brake and restart with the key? Thank you so much Tony. By the way, about how much do these romote starts cost $$$? Have you ever had one that went out on you like it short out? Bless you, Greg

I've been doing these for years and never had a problem. I'm putting one on a 2016 Ford Escape today. You just get in the habit of leaving the hvac on. Yes, you simply pit the key in and turn it on before you step on the brake.
