Installing STX barrel in A Leshiy 2: Part 2 the results.

I used 600mm fx barrel, fac, works a charm , better at extended range. Slugs and Pellets work great, Standard 350mm works well to 50 mtrs Pellets. Slugs ok . Fx Pellets and slugs out to 100 mtrs so far, Power up, simply because of usable length, also the smooth twist has lower friction for Slugs

Great Info as usual.. Kind of disappointing but for a first try not totally horrible. Maybe enlarging the hole at the pellet feed to allow the liner to slide a little further back towards the magazine might help. As you said, the liner didn't appear to be moving in the housing when no cap was used. Also perhaps a little more Crown on the liner would help cut down on the skirt damage.

I thought about modifying the liner and putting more of a lead in it but that makes the liner specific to this rifle, but I have made a few changes now and I have got it working quite well, not sure the liner is going to stay on the L2 but its a step in the right direction. Thanks for watching.

@@sub12airgunners It wouldn't bother me for the liner to be L2 specific, I would expect it to be. Liners are a lot less expensive than a new L2 LW or Alpha barrel, you could get every caliber FX Liner for the cost of one LW or Alpha barrel. Also the barrel housing stays the same allowing for a quick and easy caliber change without removing the entire barrel. With the objective being a barrel that will shoot softer pellets, it's a small sacrafice!

@@thomashouser2675 True, but ultimately this was a test to try and get the leshiy 2 to like softer pellets, now that I know its the barrel limiting me, I can make some changes, I didn't really want a liner for the final solution because I prefer the traditional barrels, so now I can either play with the standard barrel and try and get it to shoot JSBs or I try a different barrel like a poly LW. and just pick the best one for the job. Its all fun and games. Thanks for watching.

Hi there love your vids very informative and interesting. How do you find the leshiy 2 trigger on a scale of 1 to 10 and are you comfortable with it now

Tricky one it takes some getting used to but I would say its a 6/10 not super bad, but not as nice as a standard trigger, but it does break cleanly and work quite well, but no adjustment to pull weight and it has to be pulled in a specific way to get it to work well makes it lose points. thanks for watching.

@@sub12airgunners Thanks one more thing ,Have you seen the video of people putting a jet or a bung the size of 0.8mm in one of the ports underneath the valve to minimise excess air from being released from the magazine

Lol its just an experiment, the L2 will always have a proper barrel in it, now we know a liner will work, the next step is to try a LW poly barrel. Thanks for watching.
