Very clean mod! Just a suggestion, you should purchase some wire crimp connectors and a wire crimper. It creates a much more solid connection and you can buy heat shrink connectors to keep the connections sealed. Keep up the great content!

You should do the front camera for the 3rd gen. I did this on my 2017 tacoma...RFCC TTG2 camera control switch $140 on Amazon and Natika front camera $39.99 on Amazon. When its all said and done, you use the controls on the steering to control front and rear cameras. Check it out. I'm currently working on my switch panel for my lights.

One of the reds off the switch goes to illumination(tapped into one of the factory switches) or 12v ignition.

The red wire next to the green goes to your wiring harness. That will turn on the ditch light symbol when you turn on the lights. The red wire next to the black connects to anything that turns on when all the interior lights go on ( I connected it to my headlights). This will turn on the "ditch light" wording.The black goes to the black and the green from the switch goes to the other wire on the harness. So that is three wires from the switch that go to the harness and one wire that goes to anything that lights up that when the interior panel lights go on.

I appreciate the comment. I'm going to leave it the way it is. It took a good amount of time to figure out this setup and it works aside from lighting up at night unless the lights are on. Not a big deal for me, but it would be cool. I just don't want to go back in and switch all of them again!
@juliodavid493 жыл бұрын
@@BrosFOURRSpeed You don't have to change all the wires. Just the red wire that is next to the black wire on the switch, connect that to the headlight wire that gets power when you turn on the headlights. That's what I did and the switches turn on when I turn on the headlights even when the LED's are off. Hey your truck is just about perfect. You gotta do this come on. I like your videos because you always try to figure things out by doing it.

Do you recommend any tires size for a stock size cause I want beefy tires but the ones I got is 265/70/17 I just re order a 265/65/17 cause the tires would hit the inside when I would hit a bump and would hit my mud flaps do you think ordering the 265/65/17 will help it?
@BrosFOURRSpeed4 жыл бұрын
What's the size difference between those two that you said? Try to stay as close to stock as you can for width, if you want a little bigger diameter!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed took my stock ram 1500 weeling in some trails in Western MA, and came to a fork with what looked like a small puddle with a trail on the side. I hit the puddle and sunk up to my headlights. Apparently that puddle is called the coffin and a lifted k10 on 40"s can't make it through. So that side trail was there for a reason 🤦♂️

Never connect wires with just a heat shrink tubing and an electrical tape...that is used to cover them, not to connect them...Solder wires to connect..

the reds a re incorrect. one is supposed to go to your dash lights

Ya so the one red goes to the relay, or your accessories if not using a relay. The other red, wire to your dash lights. I couldn’t figure out which fuse it is, I didn’t have a multimeter to diagnose but I popped the cargo light switch out that’s close to it. When looking down at it. It’s the wire in the top row on the right. It’s a tan wire. Cut that then out the red with it and put all together and it’ll work properly. Looks really good

You need to learn how to properly connect wires! i would slap someone if i saw them doing that hack job in my truck! you should be soldering your connections , or at the very least using crimp style butt connectors, not just twisting and taping.. very sloppy
