Hi! Great video, how difficult is it to remove the backplate from the radio? And remove the square case from the SD card? Are there different options? I’m Not very technical here.

Very easy, screws to remove the back plate and a drill to drill out the rivets.

Hi mate believe you’ve sold the car but I’ve fitted this in my Leon mk2 2010 everything works and I’ve also fitted a rear camera but coding it in is not working. Would you know anything about this? Got someone to use vcds but no black screen Comes up or reverse camera..

I never fitted a camera to mines, if it's coming up with a blank screen it's probably not receiving video. Check the camera is connected correctly, and grounded well if it has a separate ground loop.

I had no issues. Hands free isn’t great as you lose the in car mic. Other than that for music and audio books it’s great. Need headphones to talk though. Very easy to fit. I needed a dremal (file would do) to get the unit to sit flush. No drain issues that I noticed.

Hi I have the rcd310 in mine bit the Bluetooth works for phone calls but can't stream music through it I've looked through all settings and nothing how did you get yours to stream music bud

On my phone I'd play music and then on the radio I'd select Media. It would then give the CD and BT options. If I didn't play the music first it only had the CD option.

Yes, identical to the 2012 that I show in the video. I recommend buying one from RCD330.com at the moment as there are a lot of replicas. They cost a little more but are genuine units. I’ve just ordered another with an external USB mod for a MK6 Golf.

The very same, but you won't have to dismantle the radio and remove the box.

You can still make calls from the steering wheel.

Owen - it's an RCD330. An original VW radio that has built in Apple CarPlay in addition to other features. The panel you need depends on your car - for my 2012 Leon it was a direct fit but my older 2009 Leon would have needed a fascia. I believe it'll fit in VW Golf MK5, MK6 and MK7 directly but you should confirm.

On the facelift Leon the temperature is displayed around the temperature dials. The OEM radio does display the temperature as you adjust it but this isn’t required. I can’t remember if the new radio displays the temp also, it may...
