Installing Windows 11 via Bootcamp

Hi Guys,
In today's video i show you how to install Windows 11 via bootcamp. It works completely fine and the touch bar works flawlessly. We first need to install windows 10 and then upgrade from there by using some tools. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial/video, please do like and subscribe for more content!

OMG THANK YOU!!! I spent the last 4 days trying to get W11 on my late 2014 Mac mini. I tried every tutorial including the ones in your video, but kept getting about every error you could get, no one mentioned the Apple updates for Boot Camp, I think that did the trick!!!

I've got to echo what most people have said. Thank you very much for taking the time and making this video. I tried Parallels on a MacBook Pro M1 13" and it was awful, so I sold that and bought a secondhand MacBook Pro 2019 16". Then followed your instructions. Intel i9 with 32gb absolutely flies.

Yeah Microsoft and Apple need to work together so windows can run natively on M1. I wish Apple had kept intel for those of us who want to continue to use intel based macs or at least make it a special order item.

I did exactly the same as you. I managed to get a refund for parallels and sold the M1 and bought a secondhand i9 MacBook again with 32mb. I do Astro photography and most of the software runs on Windows.

Worked perfectly on my mid 2020 Intel MBP. I also got hung up at 46% during the Windows 11 update process, but after about 15-20 minutes it finished and I was up and running. Thanks!

The instructions are clearly given. You may have to disable Antivirus to run media creation tool. Expect long waiting time during Win 11 installation, it looks like a hang up but it is still running. Be patient. After installation done, do windows update again. Thank you so much, you are a star 🌟

Still works, its just that windows takes considerably longer checking for updates during the upgrade stage, at least from my experience For example, i got stuck at 46% when windows was checking for updates for around 10 or 20 minutes, but eventually it worked

Installed on 2019 13" MacBookPro15,4 i5 following you steps with no issue. Lots of updates in 10 and the process takes a while with 8GB of ram but works flawlessly and connects to my thunderbolt display, mouse, etc. Thank you good sir.

Thanks for this man. Worked mint. Also I manage to update windows 11 to 23H2. Downloaded windows 11 23H2 ISO from microsoft, used the bypass tool, mounted the ISO, and upgraded flawlessly. Windows in bootcamp is the best. I have tried VMware on m1 mac mini and i got so many issues, but bootcamp works perfect.

Hi Just for info for anyone else wishing to upgrade to Windows 11 23H2 after following this video. I managed to do so, I downloaded the Win11 iso from MS ver English US coz that's the ver used in this process, so you need to keep to the same. I then ran the the Skip TPM check cmd file, then mounted the iso file and ran setup. Choose the top option (choice of 3) and complete setup. Apps and setting are restored and can run Windows update. Hope this helps.

Great video! I installed Win 11 on my 2019 MBP 16" using this process, it went smooth. However, I have Bluetooth issues because the build is 21H2. I have tried Windows Update and it is not updating the build to the latest 23H2. I don't want to lose my data. Can I upgrade my Win 11 21H2 to 23H2? Will I need to run the Media Creation Tool again? I managed to download windows 10 but when i downloaded windows 11 and it started to install it got to about 7% and crashed. Then started to undo the install, then it went back to windows 10 again... for context it's a 2019 mackbook pro (intel obviously) Edit: i turned off the wifi and tried again, this time it worked :)

So it worked... sort of. For some reason, in Windows 11, my taskbar is completely blank, save for the program icons in the tray in the bottom right. I've looked through every possible fix for this (as it's not exclusive to boot camp installations of 11) and nothing's working, so I rolled back to 10. I'm apprehensive to try again for the same issue to come up, and I'm curious if it's user error, a known bug with an easy fix, or something else. Any ideas?

This seems outdated, and people are posting about Bluetooth Issues. Hi, I certainly can however a lot of people doing it as mentioned on the video it'll vary. Not every machine will behave the same like mine did. Anything 2016 onwards should install windows 11 absolutely fine using my steps and then just update to 22h2

@@themacintoshguide Hey, just to give you an update and anyone else reading. Your method worked on my 2018 MacBook Pro i9. I was able to install Windows 10 via bootcamp. Then was able to use the utility and upgrade to Windows 11 22H2 (downloaded from Microsoft website). Everything works, no Bluetooth issues! Very simple process if following the steps from the video. Thank you for this video! Now, only if someone could find a solution for the heating issues when running Windows on 2018 MB Pro i9, since Apple fixed it on the IOS side via software update, but when running Windows, the issue persists.

I was able to use a window support software that I downloaded off a Boot Camp in macOS and do a clean install of Windows 11 and macOS and Windows 11 are both on my 2018 Mac mini and it runs just fine

Hello everyone, I have got an error while installing Windows 10 on MacOS Sonoma using Bootcamp, everything is installed but when it boots to install Windows on the Hard Disk, it gets stuck at Copying Windows Files.... and after that, I get the blue screen which says Driver PnP Watchdog and Windows reboots again to MacOS and Windows won't get installed. My Device is: MacBook Pro 16.1 inch 2019 Windows version: Tried 21H2 without success, same error. I managed to overcome this error, this methode works on all Win 10 versions, here is what I have done: 1.DISCONNECT your mouse and all external devices. 2. Let Bootcamp finish it's job and boot to Windows. 3. Now wait for the first Windows Installation screen. 4. Force Restart (press and hold power button), keep holding Option key, choose Windows and the installation should work now normally. Bug source: It looks Bootcamp $drivers$ folder was interfering with external devices.

Boot camp stuck on "Apple HAL". Then, once it reaches the place where it wants to install the bootcamp drivers: 1. quit the bootcamp driver installation 2. reboot the computer back into windows 3. do *ALL* windows updates first BEFORE apple bootcamp driver installation - and do them over and over, restarting as many times as necessary until they are 100% done. 4. reboot one more time for good measure (probably not necessary, but can't hurt) 5. NOW install the bootcamp drivers manually 6. reboot as required 7. NOW do all the apple updates (over and over just like with the windows updates) 8. boom!

Edit 20 minutes now : I've tried to read some tutorial online and found a solution to install the win11 iso in usb using rufus tool then opening the setup icon and it went okay I've tried all what you did exactly and i got the boring message "sorry we're having trouble determining if your pc can run windows 11" when running the "windows 11 upgrade" and selecting 'win 11 22H2 englishX64" Does the problem of the iso i chosen or what ? So I'm reading comments everywhere saying don't try this anymore cause things were patched by Microsoft. What was patched? If we want to get to 22H2 is this step #1 and we still need to find other guides to go from Win11 21H2 -> Win11 22H2? Curious where the state of things are on this. A lot of people saying eGPU works better on the new 22H2 for 2016-2020 Intel based macs.

Alright so, I did everything and windows 10 installation went smooth with the version "Windows 10 (Build 21H2)" and i ran the media creation tool. When i ran the "Windows 11 upgrade" it was loading but than all of a sudden i get an error that sais "an unknown command line-option [/auto] was specified." not to sure what that means.

It’s very hit or miss as Win 11 isn’t really supported via boot camp. Have you ensured Apple software update within windows is up to date?

Hi can you help me please please when I get to the stage where I’m creating the bootable usb with the iso everything is ok until the reboot and then it just loads back to Mac OS even when I hold options there is nothing bootable for windows , tried multiple times with different usb sticks , WHAT AM I MISSING In disk utility the usb shows as bootable “NO” not sure if related . @@themacintoshguide thank you I got the windows drive to show in the end by holding escape at startup instead of options, now I have made it into windows when I select the drive to install to it says that “on efi systems windows can only be installed to gpt” would appreciate any advise , p.s love the videos and interactions cheers

hey chef is there a way to use bootcamp without usb ? On newer models like yours it’s by default but my mac (2012) requires a usb before showing the partition step

I got the “Undoing changes made etc” pop up and it threw me back onto Windows 10. Assume Aveyo doesn’t support 23H2 yet. If I try again, could I disconnect from the internet before setup and then it wouldn’t try to update past 21H2?

Hi I have intel MacBook Pro 1TB and 16 GB of ram it’s last intel they made. I’ve done everything you said. I installed windows 10 and it worked but when installing windows 11 it failed on the blue screen just before rebooting then this message We couldn't install Windows 11 We've set your PC back to the way it was right before you started installing Windows 11. OxC1900101 - 0x20017 The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation

thanks , out of curiosity , I ended up installing 11 and it works fine with your instructions, with one little caveat, the phone link for iOS doesn't work , it refuses to connect. I may go back to 10 as you suggested as the major driver to try 11 was iPhone integration.

hey I Installed Windows 11 a few months back using your video and it worked flawlessly and I for some reason I have to reinstall it now but it is not installing... windows 11 gets installed and is removed and error code "the installation failed in the safe_os phase with an error during install update operation". please help me
