I found your channel through a FB Instant Pot group and someone brought up this video. Another member actually sterilizes medical equipment for a living and did testing on the Instant Pot's ability to sterilize and I just thought you might want to know that they did say that 2 minutes wouldn't be enough to sterilize anything, and that it would need to be closer to 50 minutes based on their testing. Just thought I would pass the info along because I always used my Instant Pot to sterilize too and was only doing it for a few minutes too!

Thanks slot for the vid. I live in a RV full time and have a 6 MONTH old. I never thought I could use my instant pot for this, I wash her bottles of course but they seem to smell bad sometimes and I know its because they need to be steamed!! I'm so glad I saw tis video!!

This is great. I got an LED sterilizer and dryer as a gift that just stopped working. Good thing I got an instant pot! Do you have the rinse the bottles with soap and water or just hot water?

Do you know if I can do this in a regular pot with the steam rack on the stove? I have an instant pot but it’s the small one. I do however, have a large pot and a steam rack I can put over the stove.

@Jason Groze some pots have a sterilize button. Mine does.

@Jason Groze Same, no 'sterilize' button so I use 'steam' button before making yogurt so only my L. Reuteri bacteria gets incubated.
