So glad this machine is working again, hurrah!!! Great explanation and visuals for helping others understand the problem. These machines weight 33 - 35 lbs so very heavy and almost impossible to mail out for repairs.

Wow! I'm thrilled to see not one, but TWO of these beauties on your desk. I have recently acquired a 117K, and in the last couple of weeks I also bought a 217...would love to see more. Congratulations on your fix!

I have the 530-2 and a Pfaff 260, after watching your video, I am considering getting 1 (or may be a second one as donor spare) since there are 3 advertised online locally. These are mechanical marvels!

I have Pfaff 130-15 and Pfaff 260, but when I decided to join Bernina 117, I could not resist acquiring twin sisters soon after. Now, all three are in perfect working condition and I have no heart to separate them.

These first-generation semi-industrial are absolute classics. Great for heavier fabrics. Met someone in the Hutt some years ago who uses them commercially to make Roman blinds.

can you please take apart your top thread tensioning device? I have my great grandmas and I think mine might be missing a part or is put together incorrectly. My top thread keeps binding there. I do have mine apart right now and trying to get it sort. thanks!

@@InStitches I have seen both of them, nice work man great content ive watch both of them a couple couple times haha i think its to do with the stiches per inch mine seems off it moves when sewing on my 320k singer lever creps up or down ?? i read the manuel it doesnt say how to fix it if your not getting the write stiches per inch
@InStitches Жыл бұрын
@@rndea100 If the stitch length lever is creeping, that can point to the feed mechanism being tight. Make sure that mechanism is free to move and that your feed dogs are clean.

it may be sumit to do with the feed regulator i duno i have a broken base on my 306 singer can i swap the head to a new cast iron bed/base or weld / glue it ??

Hello. I have 2 like that. Are you going to make a video about adjustments of this machine? Do you have the workshop manual? Regards from Spain. Thank you
@manuelcorbelle6257 Жыл бұрын
Do you have the workshop manual? = Service Manual ... :)
@manuelcorbelle6257 Жыл бұрын
Well, actually the ones I have are 2 "REFREY CL 317", which are the Spanish sisters of the Bernina KL 317, manufactured under Bernina patent and improved by Refrey. You can also search in Google the second evolution, the Refrey 417...

The snake skin decal and bright metal embossed pattern is interesting. I have a few German Haid und Neu Sewing machines, some had that snake skin pattern. One f the machines is like a Singer 28k hand wind but will go in reverse it has the original paint ? Hamerite Green very odd and the name on the machine in big letters is TORPEDO I bought it in a Charity shop in 2017 near Cardiff UK I guess it is post WW1 and possibly before 1938 and before 1958 when Singer took over the factory. Quite interesting that is where they made the Singer 215G & 218G I have seen a few other machines with the same name "torpedo" I just guess it is poor marketing / branding Serial number 3,419,nnn I would link a picture but YT will delete my comment soon after saving with no warning. Vey please you fixed the Bernina all the best
