Caledonian Canal

The Caledonian Canal was built 200 years ago to cut a new waterway right through the Highlands of Scotland. Created by Superhero of engineering Thomas Telford, it was one of the first social engineering projects. At the very heart of this is Neptune's Staircase, a set of 8 locks.
