This game is pure terror compared to the slow build-ups you get in phasmo,. You sometimes can't even enter without the ghost scaring you or in my case, hear the ghost tell me to run outside the building

Oh yeah a absolutely hate finding keys in devour and will say that every time I play. I think once you have the keys it's fine because there are many copies of each items on the map. So it's not like finding a needle in a haystack. The only annoying part is finding the last goat or something

Tbh bedlam is actually really easy. Once you know what to do you can do it in less than 5 mins. Each item has specific spawn locations. However, I can understand playing it for the first time can be confusing, but tbh you can figure it out pretty easily. Plus, walking across the tiles is always the same and never changes each game you play, but only changes by the time.

Slider puzzles are the worst puzzles on the face of the earth. As a Nancy Drew girlie, all my homies hate slider puzzles. Love your horror videos!! I second the guy saying that you'd probably like Darkwood (especially since you liked Pumpkin Panic. PLEASE play Darkwood, it's got such solid weird lore.) Also please have a wonderful weekend!

When I play Phas, I almost never play on Sunny Meadows. It's needlessly huge and takes too much time just to find the ghost most of the time. Even with 4 people it feels kind of hopeless unless you're going up against one of the less aggressive ghosts and I don't really care to take that gamble since they updated it where items are much more expensive. That being said, seeing you play Bedlam I don't think I'll be doing that map anytime soon either lol that puzzle looks too complex in a dangerous situation for my smooth brain to handle xD

I've only played 4 player MP but I've actually *really* liked the new map and the solving mechanics. It plays your brain by solving the puzzle, timing your evidence collecting so you're not selecting the ghost type at 6pm (so you can wait until 1-3am to do A), finding the items can be tedious but it's really fun to grab them while the hunts are happening, the Salt circle is your friend by placing it outside the puzzle floor door, and overall I've enjoyed the mechanics. I also LOVED Suzie's story (apart from having to go back and forth 4000 times). Phas is just too slow paced and easy for me and friends anymore, we only have fun doing big maps with custom difficulty, and even then once we solve it (or all die), there's just NOTHING else to do, hiding during a hunt is boring, my friends will literally try to vape as loud as they can to provoke the ghost during a hunt, it's sooo boringg. (Still love Phas, just personally I prefer the more active questing of Demonologist)

Wish I could like this game, but the makeshift wack look of tools, and the very curated feel of it really takes me out of it immediately. The EMF looks especially wack and I can't get over that roach in there. It's so distractingly weird that all I can do is look at it wiggle around without going anywhere

IMHO this game would be a 100% better if it was a one time, scripted experience since the Devs excel at making unique maps, awesome jump scares, interesting stories, cool mechanics and puzzles. I don't know why they try to mimic other ghost hunting games with evidence since this part is definitely lacking in my eyes. But I don't know, maybe there is something to it that I can't see.

agreed. It feels like they took a traditional horror game and slapped a ghost hunting game on top of it. I think it's well made overall and don't want to be mean, but this feels like they missed what makes Phasmo fun and just shoehorned Phasmo-like mechanics on top of a different game though this is a common problem in the horror genre. Like every game trying to be P.T and not understanding why it was effective and why it doesn't work as a 2+ hour game

You are not understanding the game. There is a bug where the ghost activity bleeds through the floor which makes finding the ghost room very annoying. I really like the activity that happens all over the map in this game. But that's not what this is. This activity is still "in the ghost room" it's just bugged on the floor right below it. It's not all over the map like you seem to want.

I really hate listening to the whiney bs. I'm impressed by the level of puzzles in the game. Guess some people need everything spoon fed to them. Glad there are devs going back to games that make you think. I miss the days of Sierra games.

@@Insym this map (and game) is meant to be played in co-op/multi, with at least 2-3 other people. That way, you can spread out and look for the 5 items faster :) I did the exorcism with my gf, on the 2nd try, it took time but we did it and with 0% sanity both of us. In order to access to the exorcism room, use the A pattern (clock between 1 and 3), that way, you don't have to rotate and mirror the whole map, you just use that pattern (the default one). You can wait in the tent until the clock reaches 1, no need to wait inside the building and be chased/hunted by the ghost.

@@Insym This point exactly. This is a ghost hunting game, not a Legend of Zelda Waldo Edition game. For this map, if they instead lessen the items to be found and add an extra step to exorcising the ghost that doesn't require to go on a Banjo Kazooie collecthon then that would be better.
