If you see this, I want to say thanks for the content you put out over the years. I'm a college student studying forest management, and your videos helped get me interested in the outdoors. I also built a lot of the little DIY projects you showed in your videos as well, and that got me interested in making things. Through middle school, high school, and into college I've picked up a lot of metalworking, woodworking, electronics, auto repair, and home repair skills and it all started with youtube channels like yours and Kip Kays. I hope you're doing well.

John my friend… I hope that you are well and that you have done some healing. KZbin has changed over the last few years. So many ads, garbage content, and thirst traps to get views. Not your channel tho, you were pure, raw talent that started from just a guy who loved to DIY and fish to a guy that really made some awesome quality videos. I’m not gonna lie I’ve been subscribed for so many years and I have been praying for the day that I see that little dot next to your KZbin icon indicating a new video. From all of us in the outdoor community, we love you brother. Hope to see you back soon doing to same DIY stuff from years ago. If not, we all understand. Life gets in the way. Wow man that is a crazy story, and God is good to have placed those pine trees there in that place. I have been in a similar situation when I was younger I slipped and fell down a 200 foot waterfall sliding and hitting every rock the entire way down and near the end I spun at the last second and avoided hitting bolders on each side of me which would have killed me with the force and speed I was going. still ended up in the hospital for a few weeks, but was alive. may this day be better than yesterday. From my own experience of PTSD there will come a moment you will notice you forgot briefly about the accident and it will let you know you are healing. Another sign is finding yourself noticing how you are enjoying the moment and it will occur to you that its a sign of healng. It will become rather exiting to look forward and even to "look for" these signs as they will happen more and more. Present life will provide more and more different memories than the event and the trauma of the accident will subside. Anyway that was my experience and I wish and hope for you to enjoy your outdoor adventures. I have enjoyed your tips and sharing through your channel. Nice to see your smile about your dog. Way to go! You seem like such a fine man.

BIG scratches behind the ear to Kado. Lost two of our family last year so there are always extra scratches to go around . Best to you & Kado

I'm glad to hear that you are alright and on the recovery road. We try to make things slow down when we venture in to the mountains, but when things go wrong, they happen fast. I'm so thankful that you both made it out. I know that my pup is an extension of me and I can imagine how you felt about Kado. Best of lucking moving forward!
