​@@chillysu Jon here: the processing is finished and already uploaded the Internet Archive under the Pretendo Network account. There's 111GB of towns available. Individual towns are also accessible for download, though they aren't useful by themselves We have 2 long term goals with this data: 1) Creating a separate instance of our Animal Crossing: New Leaf servers which would be strictly read-only, and feature the data from this archive. That way users can hop between instances and view the archived towns in a sort of "snapshot" 2) It seems possible to convert these towns into modified save files, so we plan to look into automating this task to allow users to mod in towns from the archive for use as their own town. Both for offline viewing and for users to try and get their own towns back for use on our servers

Tomodachi Life region differences would definitely make for a great video as not only does the game majorly differ from all 4 major regions it was released in but not all differences are even properly documented online. The Korean version is very interesting as it takes elements from the Japanese and Western versions while also having a whole bunch of exclusive stuff. You of course have stuff like new dreams, food, clothes, holidays, vacation destinations and so on. Not only that but the Korean version also has an exclusive blind date feature where you can get a Mii to hook up with another Mii they don’t know and if the date goes well, they will become a couple. All 4 versions are absolutely worth checking it out for Tomodachi Life fans because they all have many unique quirks and differences from each other.

Another case of Lost Media on 3DS: Do you know Inazuma Eleven? Maybe not, because only the first one was released in America (and the next game in development will also be released in America). It's a series of video games developed by LEVEL5 (developers of Professor Layton and Yo-kai Watch) mixing soccer with RPG elements such as levels/special attacks and more. Well, all the main games have been published in Europe by Nintendo! All of them? No. In fact, the latest opus released on 3DS has not been released in Europe, although the games' French dubbing actors have confirmed that they did the character voices for the game, which they said was probably due to be released for the 2016 Football World Cup, but nothing happened, and that's all because the game is called "INAZUMA ELEVEN GO: GALAXY". You're probably thinking, what's the big deal? Well, a German company contested a trademark application for LEVEL5 with the name of the game, and this case lasted until 2018, so it was far too late to release the game, because I haven't said one thing, but this is a series of "Cross Media" games. In fact, to promote the release of each game, an anime is broadcast! The one for "Galaxy" had, unlike the game, was released in Europe in several countries in 2016, so releasing the game in 2018 no longer made sense. Nintendo therefore has an in-house French translation of the game (and probably in other languages).

Idk if it's exactly lost media but Tetris 3DS had two completly different versions. It was replaced somewhere around 2016 and was E-Shop Exclusive, idk if it has been dumped before or documented but it's one i remember vividly since i played it all the time before it was replaced

Soooo someone did bother to create an archive of the Nintendo Video files when the servers were still up, pretty sure I have it here somewhere, I had to use a DNS spoofing method to deliver the content to my o3DS (I chose Big Time Rush Windows Down and the Legend of Zelda orchestra video lol) Edit: Definitely still have them, they archived everything from July 22nd, 2011 to March 30th, 2014

Yes it's orange. Saw it with my own eyes at the Nintendo museum in Kyoto that opened up last fall. I actually got a picture of orange purple and blue prototypes together but they yelled at me because I forgot there were no photos allowed.

I’m pretty sure all those lost animal crossing new leaf towns will get documented eventually, because in the game you could visit random dream towns and since the game would save the data after you visit the dream town, all it would take is someone sharing there Nintendo network data of New Leaf in order for a town to be found. Sadly I cannot help because I reset my animal crossing new leaf save file and even if haven’t, I’m just afraid to mod my own 3ds because I’m scared of bricking it.

I remember visiting aika village at one point and the houses were straight up empty. I’m guessing it was because the owner was updating the houses following the welcome amiibo update. This seems to be the case as when I visited Aika later, the houses weren’t empty anymore and had furniture again, the same exact furniture but some pieces being replaced with welcome amiibo pieces

i have a modded 3ds and you can get the korean version of tomodachi life but whenever i try to play it though the korean alphabet just will not show at all so its just all boxes everywhere. i have no clue why that happens as other versions work perfectly fine like the japanese version and its just so annoying because like i wanna see how different the game is lool
