Freddie was the greatest rock and roll singer of all time. Talk about Elvis and others all you want, but no one had Freddie's range and in my opinion, talent. Add Brian May to this equation and you have the formula for something unmatched. In my not so humble opinion, Queen with Freddie Mercury is the greatest rock and roll act ever produced

I just pray that Freddie did find someone to really love!! His vocal range is out of this world and no one ever mentions that. I am an older woman that can appreciate all the fine qualities he projects to everyone. I know that my son (who passed away a year ago) and my husband that just passed away has met Freddie and shook his hand and tell him how much we people love his music and talent.
@pauleeanna8 жыл бұрын
At the time of his death, he was in a approx. 5 year relationship but I don't think he ever really found true love and was always searching for it. Its so sad but that's the reason why the majority of the songs he wrote were always about love or lack of. He was so awesome but he was shy and kept his true feelings inside so he couldn't really open up to people other than at his fun parties with sex and drugs. Man, I loved him....I so much wish he was still here. I'm sorry to hear about your son & husband...death is so terrible.
@sleepysandi77288 жыл бұрын
Thank you for replying to my comments. Like I said before...he had such talent that many people never really understood. I did wish him some happiness and he seems like at that time he was truly looking for someone to just love and be with him for himself. What a talent that we lost too soon. The death of our son was totally unexpected and we lost part of our life when we lost him. We only had 2 children...first our daughter and 14 months later our son Trent. I told my hubby Larry at the time 'what more could God give us than a health daughter and son so we decided that was all the children we wanted (my hubby came from a family of 11 children!!!). He was fine with that decision and never mentioned to expand any further. The pain and hopelessness we have when Trent passed away was unbearable to both of us. He was living with us at the time of his death and was a big help with anything that needed to be done...wonderful cook and always cleaned the kitchen after every meal we had. My heart is now totally destroyed as my husband passed away June 4, 2016 and I think part of it was from a broken heart. Trent always lived in the same city we did and our daughter left home when she got married at 19 as he new hubby had just joined the AF. They were in for 22 years and never lived closer than 1100 miles to us. So we were always around Trent. His death was totally a shock (I still think there are days I can't believe he won't walk in the door). He and his father were both plumbers and worked at some big jobs together...so they had a lot in common plus being Nascar fans and going to some of the races together. My heart will never be the same and I am so tired of sobbing from the loss of now both of them. I can see no happiness going forward....I do have wonderful grandchildren that I love dearly, but seldom see them as their lives are very busy (as it should be) and most live in different states. I think I am ready to go home to God and my men that I love so deeply. God's Blessings to you and yours.

I am not one to go out and about a lot. My sister just got into Iowa from Texas and I am going to get together with her and her hubby. I also did join a group of old friends that we ran around together for years....only I was the one that didn't have my spouse with me. It is hard to constantly act normal when I don't feel it at all. I am 2 months older than Brian, a year younger than Freddie would have been. I found Queen and Freddie again this past year. Was busy being married, raising a child and working, so didn't get to hear all the great bands and singers as often as I would liked to have. And there wasn't MTV, no videoes back then until Queen came along. And now I am absolutely obsessed with Freddie. And the whole band of Queen. I have heard alot of bands and singers in my lifetime, and there has never been anyone else who could or can sing like Freddie. I admit, I watch the videos over and over and have pretty much every dvd. I love watching him sing. What is amazing about Freddie is that he could sing at different levels, not just octaves. Even Elvis, who I grew up idolizing, had a one level voice on every song he ever sang. Same with Sinatra. But with Freddie, he could belt out Death on Two Legs, go to the absolutely hauntingly beautiful, White Queen. This solo really showcased the purity of his voice. Can't even find the right words to express what I mean. And when he does that drawn out ohhhh at end of two cerain verses, my soul just melts and aches. He does Liar, and then you hear, You Take My Breath Away. Four extremely different songs and each sang magnificently. Every time he sang a song, even if has been sung a thousand times, each time he performed it, it was full of passion and feeling as if he was singing the song for the first time. There will never be anyone to have the gift God gave him. And I think Freddie should have gotten special recognition for his voice because no-one will ever do this, but Freddie. And he should, 27 yrs later, be inducted in to some kind of Hall of Fame for singers. He should be known to every single person til the end of time. I have a big poster of him when his hair was long and resting his chin on his hands and another larger one from 1982, bare-chested and wearing white pants with red stripe down sides and red sash. On my bedroom wall facing my bed and I wake up every day to that beautiful sexy man. I find that we were a lot alike. It is amazing to seem to see my male counterpart. Not about his being a celebrity. But alot of the same frailties of character, and emotions, and what we were looking for. Wow, if only. I will love Freddie Mercury until my last breath. And I will tell God, thankyou for bringing such beauty to our world in the voice of Freddie Mercury. I will be watching my dvds on my death bed if I have anything to say about it. My son said, "Wow. My mom is in love with a dead gay man!" He just might be right. Freddie, I hope that somehow God has let you see how loved you were and still are and what you meant to us and the world. We STILL love you, my Persian Beauty.

I'm a little younger than you but my personal story is very similar to yours. @@bigc198387 because he was a human being with more talent and beauty of spirit than most artists, even those who claim to be "whole of spirit, mind, and body." Illness isn't a sign of sin, whoever you are. If that were true, children wouldn't die in the womb because of abnormalities, newborns wouldn't die of malaria, dysentery, or AIDS. And if you or anyone brings up the old boogaboo of "the children paying for the sins of the father" b.s., I'm match it with Jesus saying that He was the New Covenant putting the old ways behind humanity. Meaning, no more "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth", that so many fundamentalists with a penchant and an appetite for violence and mostly revenge LOVE to quote. One more to seal the deal. Today, AIDS still exists, and it's NOT, as you put it, the scourge of "nasty aids sponge(s)" (parentheses mine). Spouses and partners get it through unfaithful partners, babies and children used to get it, and those that survived are now adults that live full lives but they got it through life-saving blood transfusions when gov'ts made bad decisions. And so on ... Should I continue? Or does your thick skull only have room for ignorance and prejudice?

Freddie Mercury is the definition of a true musical legend
@camillahussainy6 жыл бұрын
This is my first comment for anyone . And like freddie i said ok lets do it . His music is nothing as compare to this century music . I hope everyone will agree with me on this . He is a legend and like most other legends he will stay alive . He is with us and will always be. He use to sing with his soul and full energy . And his music was music not a garbage crap like todays music . His music is a quality music , if you have a good taste thats what i call music .

It´s hard to believe that Freddie had gone 22 years ego,but he is still here,in some ways, because his music is still here.He was a great charismatic singer,songwriter and performer.There will never be anyone else like him. True legend never die!

For sure freddie was the most impressive, the "best" frontmen of music history... followed- with a huge gap by Bon Scott and Ronnie van Zant. Queen without Freddie was only 10%.... with him, one of the greates bands...
