Nam Dang-Mitchell is such a lovely lady with a beautiful design esthetic. Her home has none of the stark white cookie-cutter look that seems to be everywhere today. Her home has so much life and personality!

Wa she said she’s an introvert! Like me and my lil girl.... My grade school daughter caught that immediately! Saying she can be one too :interior designer. She fixes up the way her room looks every now and then, I let her and on standby in case my help is needed. Her taste is fantasy’s colorful... like I tell her u don’t have to be a loud person to like rainbows and unicorn fantasy...o be a designer. Don’t know reason or person why she thought opposite. No matter introverts make great careers out of so many fields it’s dumbfounding to others. I love it!

These videos always capture me. I appreciate the design perspective and the interviews but I’m always expecting to see more deign but instead there a few short still shots. A tour would be nice. The flow is ok but these videos leave me feeling like it’s more about the host than the house design. Thanks for continuing to share great design tips. More video of rooms and spaces rather than short projection of pictures. Cheers to you all!

Love the uniqueness, screams custom, original and fearless... I never could get into that whole Joanna Gaines style. I love to look at things and be like "wowww... that looks like a master piece, It's unique a conversation piece and beautiful to look at", not the simple grays and whites that once you've seen one house, you've seen them all... nothing unique or impressive. It's like people just followed trends and it's not even who they really are nor does it represnt their style... all that does is keep your imagination and creativity locked up, I say let it out.... be creative ladies show your style not someone's else's... unless ofcourse their style is your style... then Gaine on 😉

What a beautiful house! The problem here in Florida is that the homes are mostly ranch style or cookie cutter new builder homes that lack the beautiful characteristics of custom homes that you see up North. Well done!

Linda I noticed you have black floorboards in your home I love this look and would love to do it but when I tell people what I want they say “ no don’t do it, it will show all the marks and dirt on floor”. What is your experience with dark flooring and if there are any other people reading this comment please give your opinion. Thanks

Dark floors definitely show everything! I feel I am constantly cleaning them. However, if it’s an aesthetic you like, I say go for it and plan accordingly. We plan for a robot vac that is good on hardwoods.

My neighbour installed untreated oak flooring, she stained them 3 times to layer the effect to a rich black before waxing them. We both had small children at the time who ran in and out all day. I can't say she ever had a problem. She would vacuum twice a day, but I had to as well, even though I had a medium natural oak floor. I had a dog, he would be in and out of both houses since we shared the backyard for our kids.
