Wow! Amazing renovation! I love how you modernized the home without taking its souls out. Most designers nowadays would have gutted everything and painted everything white to the point that the home no longer looks the same. You came in and respected the space and let it help you with the design and it paid off! One of the best renovations I’ve seen on this channel. Bravo!

How beautiful-it really blows me away! This type lake house where family and friends visited often, but was also comfortable for the owners alone, has always been a favorite of mine. You kept it true to the original but with your own personalities, too. Love seeing Archie and those expressive eyes!

This “ cottage” is HUGE no wonder is cold in winter...

This is a joke right? The decorating in the living room screams 1990's with all those heavy dark colours. The burgandy sofas...ughh. I get it, it's a "Lakehouse" that is supposed to be woody, homey and cozy, but it looks like a ski chalet from 1970. The only saving grace is the mix of mid-century furniture. I would have kept some wood on some walls to attain the cozy feel, but too much wood. She nailed it in the bathrooms and the one bedroom though 9:58 warm wall colour, but not white and she left the wood trim. Still cozy but not a dismal hunting lodge. One more point, to take full advantage of a lake view, the living room should have the biggest windows/sliding doors possible (full floor to ceiling)
