Great video! This is exactly what I was looking for in terms of a visual on the location for camshaft and crankshaft sensors. Do you have a video of what it sounded like before this fix? That would be super helpful! And as far as pricing goes, you are 100% right on that. Prices at my local autoparts stores are about $150 for one of the sensors and about $250 for the other. Crazy....

Before I replaced the sensors the engine would still start but it would crank over for about 30 seconds before starting.

😂 I just can't seem to find my car is having. It starts up fine when you first start the engine like everything's okay. But after the car's been running for a hour or so, it won't start. The starter would drag like the battery is dead, but after the car cools off for about an hour or so, it will start just fine again. Can anyone help me with this damn problem!? It has a brand new battery and I got the starter replace at the beginning of the year, and a voltage meter reads that the alternator is good although it fluctuates up and down sometime
@thelimogarage9665 Жыл бұрын
Pull up the carpet on the front passenger side floor. Just under the glove box. There is a terminal There where the battery cable connects from the trunk to the other side of the firewall for the starter. This connection is known to get loose and corroded. I hope this helps.

@@thelimogarage9665 it's rare to find someone that actually would give you credible free information that actually wants to help . I took my car to the dealership for an alternator and another warranty issue. I simply asked what day or over the car and see what needed to be addressed they proceeded to tell me he would be $150 for that kind of inspection but they would do a free safety inspection!I pick the car up and I simply asked you that ticking noise I heard was that a serious problem was that the manifold or was that the typical which you're not supposed to worry about supposedly. I simply asked what the technician what he thought about the car the sound was I imagining the problem that was not there break even call him or get him on the phone. .used to work at a motorcycle dealership and when we have customers come in there and even if they were the cheapest tightest not ones that kind of money you would still want to know what the bike need free of charge. But not the Dodge dealership. .and it's awesome to find someone that will give you good creditable advice and actually pick up the phone; and take time out of your schedule to talk to you

You probably need to clean the throttle body and re set the idle with a scanner. I would also check for vacume leaks .

My 05’ 300c recently started doing the same thing but it’s only happened a few times so far. I hope by replacing both sensors it fixes the problem. Can it also be a leak in the fuel system? Before I bought my car it had been sitting for a few years without it being driven. I’ve already had to get the head gasket and oil pressure sensors replaced. It’s recently had a tune up and battery changed
@thelimogarage96654 жыл бұрын
You may have a problem that is called bleed back. What that means is that your fuel pressure bleeds back down into the system when the vehicle is shut off. Then it takes time for the pump to prime the injectors on startup. The best way to test this is to put a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail and see if it holds pressure after you shut the vehicle off.

I don't think you're going to find the same results. The best way to be sure is to put a scanner on the vehicle to see if you're receiving a signal from cam and crank sensor when it does not start.

The only way to be sure is by using a scanner. Check the data when cranking the engine, if the cam and crank sensors are good you will see them responding in the data.
