Incase anyone is struggling with the 16:8 method I'd like to share my little journey. I started IF a little over a year ago when I first discovered Jennifer's videos. At first I did a shorter fasting period since I struggled with 16:8 (lots of migraines, nausea, feeling of general lethargy) and it really helped me hone in on my diet. I learned a lot about eating highly nutritious foods and how to live with some hunger. I started incorporating 16:8 into a couple days a week, again allowing my body to adjust over time and now I'm doing doing it all week. My husband is also doing IF and took a similar approach and he's seen some great results as well. Anyways, I thought I'd share my story since I really do enjoy IF (and these videos) and wish everyone the best on their journey!

These look delicious and balanced. I’m reminded, when you put out these IF videos, that even if one is doing IF, we still need to be mindful of our portion sizes. Some might think these portions are small, but truthfully, if we are not eating in a distracted environment, we would very likely be satisfied. I love that your meals are not only beautiful and well portioned, but flavorful. Lovely video.

Did you know that fasting anywhere between 14-16 hrs has the same results? Everyone is fixated on 16:8 as some magic number but Satchin Panda who was the first to introduce Time Restricted Eating said they only chose 16 hrs in the study because that is what the student who was working in the lab overseeing the mice could do because his wife only allowed that time. 😂 Now everyone thinks 16:8 is this magical weight loss window. I'm doing 14:10 and lost 13 lbs in 4 months and still dropping. Just thought I'd throw that science bit out there. Also, read the Circadian Code and the Diabetes Circadian Code by Satchin Panda. He is a wonderful scientist and never gets sensational with his data. ❤ Even if you don't have diabteses the newest book has some great information on Time Restricted Eating and Sleep cycles. So fascinating!

For me, following the clean fast during my fasting hours made all the difference...black coffee, black tea and plain water. Nearly no hunger at all. When consuming anything else during fasting hours it would cause increased hunger , likely it triggered an insulin release. Also realizing that the hours will not always add up to 24! I often have a 17 to 18 hr fast with a 4 to 7 hr eating window , depending on the day. Total game changer. Love the free version of the zero app too!

I’ve just returned from 3 weeks in Sicily where they start dinner very late around 9:00 pm. They eat a very light breakfast. It’s interesting to live a different lifestyle sometimes. Sicilian culture is ancient and I cannot see it changing. Do not be afraid to step away from your usual diet when in a foreign country. You’ll be ok and can get back to your routine when you like. I did eat a lot of healthy fresh fish and grilled vegetables in Sicily. I admire your healthy lifestyle Jennifer and I try and enjoy many of your recipes. Now, how about that cookbook ! Please tell us that you’ll put out a cookbook !!

I do the intermittent fasting on days where i don't feel like having breakfast. However if i feel like it, i have a savory nutritious breakfast which gives me a boost for the start of the day. The natural fasting period of 12 hours or so between dinner and breakfast is also important and i generally respect that. (Breakfast being the moment the fast is broken.)

These are such nutritious and delicious-looking meals. I would so love your recipe for the chicken enchiladas, and the green vegetable soup. I share your desire for carbohydrates when having soup or salad as my entrée and find that my meal doesn’t feel complete, at least for me, if I don’t have a carb of some sort. A regular meal time staple for me is salmon and having sushi out fairly regularly. Breakfast is essential and often it is dairy-free yogurt with a chopped banana, berries, walnuts, pumpkin and sunflower seeds.

Hey Jennifer, your skin just looks perfect to me. I’m in my late 30’s and when I was raising my kids I was not listening to any of the current events and my best friend was and is 25 years older than me. I am just now hearing that 20’s and 30’s are botoxing their faces. I just find this completely baffling. Do you think this is a type of body dysmorphia? It’s just so bizarre to me! I felt so complete raising my babies that this didn’t even cross my mind! If I’m not mistaken, the models in the 90’s were in their 30’s and into their 40’s, and this was before Botox…

Hi there , thank you for being you. Hey, you are such a beautiful soul. Because of that I think i am compelled to tell you about the truth of life. Now I don’t know if you believe in God or do not. I truly hope I’m not stepping on your toes here, I just want to introduce you to the true meaning of life. If you’ve ever asked yourself “Why am I here on earth“ the following is going to make sense to you. His Name is Jesus! He made you and he has a purpose for your life! Jesus’s number one gift to us is that He sets us free ... So let Me be quick here. The Bible says; We are all sinners, it dates back all the way to Adam and Eve. When Adam decided to take a bite of the forbidden apple in disobedience and rebellion, sin entered the world. So Since that occurrence, we were conceived through sin and we will continue in sin. Born with a sin nature, desiring our will instead of God’s. All humans have a choice wether we will operate through fleshly needs or to connect with God through a humble and simple desire to serve Him and Him only. And that’s the catch, our flesh is in the way! We naturally orient ourselves through fleshly desires, without considering our spirit, and think that our flesh is stronger than our spirit. But it isn’t the case, our spirit is in a constant fight with our flesh. We want to do the right thing, and yet we decide to do the wrong thing. We want to stop lying and, yet we do lie just to get ourselves out of a situation, if need be. We want to have sex in a marriage and, yet we still need to make sure, we prove ourselves before we get married. We want to stay pure, yet our physical body feels the urge of operating through the system of the world due to the pressure that’s being administrated through media and society. The world belongs to the enemy the (Antichrist), it has been given to him since Adam & Eve’s mistake. And the heavens belong to (God). I don’t know if you know anything about The Bible, but it explains everything. In the beginning was God, God created everything including you and me. But there was deception, that derailed us from the Lord’s way to life abundantly. If the serpent wouldn’t have deceived Eve we would have continued living in paradise without pain, heartache, sickness, disease and death. And most importantly, separation from our Creator. But now that we live here on earth, which is under the enemies persistent deception, we have to survive - and the only way to survive and secure a place in heaven is to dedicate our hearts to Jesus. Jesus is the son of God, he came to earth for the sole purpose of dying for our sins, our past present and future sins, even though he was sinless himself. He bought our souls on the cross away from death, shedding His blood for ours, dying for you and me. He was here to save your soul, for you to be able to enter heaven after death. But there has to be repentance for sin for forgiveness to be given, doesn’t there? There will come a rapture very soon now, and all Christ believers will be taken out of the way just before the tribulation and 7 years later Christ’s second return will occur, when all remaining Christians will be taken - the blessed believers who have survived the martyrdom. Trust me a relationship with Jesus Christ is the most fulfilling and utmost importance at this time in our lives. Accepting Jesus into your heart is what your spirit yearns for. We are spiritual beings and this fallen world just simply doesn’t have what our spirits need. Jesus is the key for true peace (not yoga, not Buddhism, not new age, not Muslim religion) can make you feel as fulfilled as a “relationship” with Jesus Christ would. Its more powerful than a man-made set of religious rules, it’s a saving relationship with your Creator who promised to be with you always. Even to the end of the age. Trust me I tried many and am coming from a Muslim upbringing / background. And, Jesus’s second return is very close. In the Bible he said, in the end times you will hear the groaning of the world the world will show you my return is near when there’s earthquakes, when there’s pestilence ( viruses ), where there’s war and rumors of war, my young men will see visions, and my older men will see dreams. That time has come, most christians or even non-Christians are seeing visions and are dreaming dreams about the end times. The end is closer than you know and I want you to dedicate yourself to Jesus, before it’s too late. I care for your soul, even though I have never met you before. God almighty, my savior, created you in love and I want you to land in heaven, where I will see you as we live together in His presence. It is through Jesus' blood that we are saved and are able to see Heaven after Death. God is offering you to hold his hand, all you have to do, is extend your arm out to him. Come to Jesus just as you are, embrace the Lord while you still have a little time. The door of the Ark is about to close permanently. The Ark of salvation is about to depart. And the trumpet is about to sound. Jesus is coming and judgment follows. You don’t want to be remaining here on earth, once the rapture takes place, because after peace departs unspeakable things will happen. I don’t want you and your family to remain in this world. The ones that heard the warning and took action will be raptured - basically taken out of harms way. The ones who do not take the warning seriously, And do not prepare and repent of their sins, will be left behind to face tribulation. I pray for the deliverance of sin in your life, I also pray against any oppression in your life. The only name that delivers and sets free, is the name of Jesus. It was so important to him that he gave his life for it. All you have to do is the following: 1. Believe that Christ died for your sins and accept him as your master of your life 2. Repent of your sins - this means ask for forgiveness and turn from your sins permanently as best as you can. 3. Follow the 10 Commandments in Exodus 20:1-17 and Christ teachings in Matthew 22:37- 40 4. To accept Jesus in your life say this prayer: Jesus you have promised in your word, That if I acknowledge that you died on the cross for my sins, And were raised from the dead on the third day, And if I accept you in my heart As my Lord and my savior, That I would be saved. I am now saying that I believe that you died for my sins, and were raised from the dead and I accept you in my heart As my Lord and my savior. Please forgive me for my sins. Thank You that I am now saved, And that i have the promise of eternal life in heaven. Amen! 5. Each day read the Bible pray, and follow the 10 Commandments and also the teachings of Jesus Christ. Mark, John, Matthew, and Luke should have the teachings of Christ in them! 6. And get baptized. It symbolizes death to the flesh and new life by God’s Holy Spirit - a purification and a regeneration of your soul body and spirit. Please take this serious I care for you and your soul. You are a beautiful soul and I pray for the best for your life and your future. Much love, Your sibling in Christ. Ps. “The MOST IMPORTANT question every Christian MUST answer!” THE QUESTION: “WHY do you trust / believe the Bible?” THE ANSWER: “I choose to believe the Bible because……. It is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eye-witnesses during the lifetimes of other eye-witnesses that report super-natural events that took place in fulfillment of specific Biblical Prophesies and claim that their writings are Devine (inspired and written) by the Holy Spirit rather than human in origin.” AND … “I, myself, see God’s life-giving Words actively changing my personal life, and the lives around me, as i submit to the relationship God is actively pursuing with me, in and through me.” Baptism does not get you to heaven Ephesians 2:8,9 Baptism is an act of obedience once you become a Christian. Mathew 28:19 Baptism is a picture of what you believe about Jesus. Baptism is a picture of what you believe. Colossians 2:12 It Is a outward symbol of an inward decision Colossians 2. Corinthians 5:17 shows your new life in Jesus Acts 8:39 & Matthew 3:16 why do we baptize underwater? •Believe In Jesus •Admit that Jesus is God •Call on him (Jesus) And get baptized please God bless you 🙏🕊🙏
