I just love this host. Prashad is always trying to play the devil's advocate, which I love to do as well and enriches this series of conversations with Jay. I don't even know who's the most intelligent of them both :D Anyway it's a pleasure, these kind of frontally honest and cynical interviews are the ones that make me hold the real news such high regard.

You are speaking to a person who even as a 15 year old kid was forcing the international community to enforce R2P I used to organize protests in New York right outside the UN HQ about the genocide in Darfur I actually have a masters degree in international human rights law and unlike the people have actually know all six un languages (Arabic Chinese English French Russian and Spanish) R2P was designed after the double quagmire after Rwanda and Srebrenica genocide war crimes and crimes against humanity must be stopped and this must be enforced of course it must be done with the unanimous consent of the UNSC and indeed Libya was done unanimously all five permanent members agreed to it

The UN nowadays seems hardly different to the original League of Nations, lots of talk and a disturbing lack of actions when smaller nations and minorities get pushed around by bigger powers.
