Internecion Cube | Cartoon Series [Part 3]

15 year old Max and spoopy A.I. murder-cube IC-0n take on the shadow government. Basically, imagine you're running a 110° fever after watching too much anime and this is hell.
Episode 3
Max and IC-0n's strange road trip makes a stop at a diner. While Max and Kirie's rather nefarious plans for IC-0n are revealed, additional foes appear to further complicate the matter.
About The Series:
Just an exercise in storyboarding practice. There are not currently any plans to fully animate this series to the level of, say, the CliffSide pilot. Any future installments of the series will be rough black and white boards timed out with scratch VO and SFX as seen here. I'm just having fun making wacky cartoon content even when I can't spare the time to fully animate episodes.

In the over a decade, I've watched KZbin I have seen many unfinished works and animations over the years and yet none have made me wish for it to continue as much as this work has. I love the voices, characters, and the funky powers so much in just over 20 minutes of total watch time. @@catonmars9852 my suspicion is that kirie is the fusion of a child with a version of icon/ic-on. Based on kirie's introduction episode I suspect that she was a sickly child that was vulnerable to the mental instability in icon which requires icon to be fused with humans to be useful. Unfortunately because kirie had been sick for so long she was not mentally strong and became unstable and killed her (human) family. Based on icon's lack of recognition of the situation/third cube, and kirie's willingness to let her crush operate alone, I don't think that icon is aware of any other cubes, which means that her memory can be erased or she can be duplicated, and kirie was not aware other cubes existed, an indication that either her fusion was not officially sanctioned or that there is a limit to the speed cubes can be produced/fused.... But part of me thinks that I might be overthinking it and this might just be a magical girl anime...

Icon is just a little girl, who doesn't know any better. If he manages to raise her right, and teach her proper morals, she can be a source of great good, but if he fails, she could become very dangerous. I would put a few rules in place. 1) Always respect the Life, Liberty, And Property of every human being 2) In case of her being attacked, she must always only use "minimal necessary force" in order to stop the attack. 3) She must learn and internalise the virtues. So that she is always humble, kind, patient, diligent, charitable, temperate and chase, and 4) she must always have hope, faith and love. To ensure that these four rules are understood, accepted and retained I would move with her to a small peaceful town and enrol her in a girls school so as to expose her to lots of humans that she can form friendships with. I would not under any circumstances expose her to violence, until the four rules have been fully internalised. I expect this process to take at least 4 years.

So... Kirie and Icon are both trying to achieve domination, with Kirie being some weird human-machine amalgam and Icon being one of the cube organisms. Kirie wanted to wipe out competition and so somehow made Max (a smart conspiracy theorist) believe in her and convinced him that Icon must be destroyed by her or something. So Max steals her from the research facility and cooks up a story of being it’s “administrator “. Let me know what you guys think.

The biggest question is why there is a third one. I suspect that kirie is basically just after revenge, the human aspect of the cubes is being played up. Icon might not be human at all, and she may be receiving hard resets/her AI is not able to progress past adolescence, but she may be the seed that duplicates herself and the duplicate takes on a human host creating more cubes with icons ability to control it's functions and the human providing the ability to develop personally/control icons insanity. Why the third one exists, knows about icon, but doesn't seem associated with the lab I cannot even begin to guess. Also I am wondering if kirie was dying of cancer and her father took her in to work so that she would survive, unfortunately kirie went insane and killed her family, explaining why her house is so large and well stocked. It would also explain why kirie is so fixed on the boy as she has abandonment issues from her murdering her family, abuse at the hands of pre reset icon, and her father effectively letting her die. What I don't understand is why kirie would risk boy being killed by icon, or trust him to manage the heist. I also am not sure where who is, as during the daytime for boy her house seemed to be at night, and now what looks like night for the boy is middle of school for her. And I certainly don't understand why she would allow him to be so far apart with such dangerous cargo.

I think Kirie's goals are unspecified for the moment: while I admit the pictures with crossed out faces are very highly suspicious, she might honestly want the destruction or containment of all cubes.

@@selimyucel741 same, i feel like kirie either, A thinks the ends justifies the means, no matter how morally questionable, B doesn't have all the facts around the IC-0N situation and is just going off of limited (and possibly incorrect) information or C is basing her response to the IC-0N cubes off of her trauma surrounding them (and possibly her father), which puts them in a very negative light regardless of weather or not their ACTUALLY going to end the world. i think kirie is genuinely trying to be a good guy but she doesn't fully know what she's dealing with, or how to deal with them

Just something to think about. All the cubes are labeled IC meaning “internecion” and then have a number, followed by a lowercase “N” at the end. IC-0n is obviously the first one, because she has 0 as her number and is constantly referred to as the “origin cube”. We also see IC-52n in that scene where Kirie kills another cube person, meaning that there were 52 more cubes made after IC-0n. But then, we see 313n, the Japanese girl. This means that there are at least 314 cubes made (including IC-0n), and that there are most likely more. However, this does not mean that all 314+ cubes are alive. Kirie seems to be in the process of hunting them down and killing them all. Either by herself, or with the help of people like Max. IC-0n seems like the only problem in Kirie’s plan. Maybe it’s because she’s too powerful or has something different about her design.
