Denying life-saving healthcare in order to maximize profit margins is considered “business”. This is part of the reason why a substantial percentage of the population value the life of a CEO in the same light as the CEO viewed UHC customers. It’s also worth noting that the population that’s aged 16 to 29, grew up under the constant threat of a school shooting or other mass shooter event. American gun culture has numbed an entire generation. The public response is a consequence of the modern American society. As the saying goes, they need their bed now they need to lay in it. Usually, I like Chris Hayes, but straight up, this was a killer-on-killer crime. It's not a death drive; it's a direct misstructure of the concept and the event - the opposite stands if anything. The health insurance industry is death-driven; it succeeds in direct proportion to the money it takes while giving as little as possible to maximize profits at the cost of human beings - that is a profoundly immoral and violent business model. Lobbyists, dems, and pubs in the pockets of the industry have obfuscated the argument because no one who benefits from this cynical industry wants the heyday to be over. The public wants the violence to stop. The facile arguments the corporate media are pushing are stoking the anger.
