This is a super low budget intervalometer that works on many brands but not just that I use it to trigger my Sony camera in video mode when recording alone.
@billoliver22514 жыл бұрын
I've had this intervalometer for a week now and watched a few videos on how to set it up and none of them were right. This is the first one I've seen that was clear, concise and dead on the money. The instructions that came with it are not very clear to me and now I finally understand EVERY function of this device. Wonderful job. Thank you.

hey have you tried taking 60sec or 90sec timelaps pictures with it?
@catherinegrimes23082 жыл бұрын
I first watched this video over two years ago when I was selecting an intervalometer and watched it again for some clarification because the "manual" was less than clear. I have just watched it again because I will be using it again to photograph the night sky. Even though my camera has an intervalometer, you have to touch the camera to trigger it and I prefer to do it remotely. Out of all the instructional videos I have watched on using this, yours is the best.

@videotechxplained4 жыл бұрын
The pixel triggers your camera and your camera triggers the flash. They should not affect each other. Set the flash as you normally would and add the pixel. When the pixel triggers the camera shutter, the flash should shoot too if it’s probably set and on

@videotechxplained4 жыл бұрын
Yes it does support AF modes If would try to focus using the AF mode activated at the moment of taking the photo before eventually taking the photo. But depending on what you are doing or how long you intend to use it, the focusing every thing it takes a picture can drain the photo cameras battery fast. Cheers from Italy too

Well explained. Please let me know exactly what is the difference between the 'BULB' and 'LONG' settings in this remote? Does it mean that in Bulb Mode, exposure will continue till I keep the shutter button pressed and stop only when I release the shutter ? In Long Mode ?
@videotechxplained5 жыл бұрын
in BULB, PRESSING the shutter button would open the camera shutter for exposure until the shutter button is again pressed which then closes the already open shutter and takes a photo in the process . LONG on the otherhand is part of a cycle, take allows you to take series of photos without pressing the shutter button as you would when you are in the BULB setting explained above. in the LONG SETTING you indicate the amount of time you want the camera shutter to be opened, so the time-lapse cycle is triggered, the intervalometer opens the camera shutter for the indicated period, takes a photo at the end of the period and this repeats itself until the number of pictures set in the cycle is taken. sorry for this much sentences you had to read to get your answer .
@ranjankmsphotography5 жыл бұрын
@@videotechxplained -Thanks a lot !! Now understood this very well. Now , when I want to actually set a time( in TW 283) for shutter to remain open and take image, for example for 2 minutes...how do I set that ( only 1 single shot of 2 mins)?
@videotechxplained5 жыл бұрын
BULB, press your shutter button to open the camera for 2mins Then press again to take the picture. But i would recommend you set your long to 2 min and your dail 1 in n1 for the shutter to take only One picture in the timelapse cycle. Don't forget to set your camera shutter speed to BULB mode
@ranjankmsphotography5 жыл бұрын
@@@videotechxplained -Ok got it. SO I will set 2 min in LONG, 1 in N1 to take one picture.....what about the N 2 setting? It is the no of times to repeat, I think, and it can't be set to ZERO to avoid any repeatation of taking picture ?
@videotechxplained5 жыл бұрын
@@ranjankmsphotography dailing 1 in N2 would repeat your N1 setting once which in your case would mean only one picture would be taken. i hope i was able to answer your question in an understandable way to you. don't forget to support this channel by sharing this video to friends and eventually subcribing to help the channel grow. thank you

Hello would this trigger RX flash like yn560iii or a flash that receives radio . I want to do off camera shoots with the a5100
@videotechxplained5 жыл бұрын
IF the flash is compatible with the camera Then it would also function with the pixel tw 283 attached. An intervalometer triggers the shutter of your camera , when the shutter is triggered, your flash would also be triggered to lighten your subject or composition after which your shot would be taken.

I bought this unit for the main reason that it has interchangeable connection cables to handle multiple bodies. My two Canon bodies have different connectors..go figure. There are two main defects (for me) on this unit. First, most folks will have their camera on a tripod with the scene pre-focused and framed. Since pressing the "shoot" button on the control sends a focus signal, it potentially changes focus. Not good. Switching to manual focus is a work around. Second big gripe is BULB, typically for use with a neutral density filter when the camera body won't support longer shutter times. On most remotes like this, you set the shutter time, press the shoot button and the remote counts down to zero and closes the shutter. On this on you have to hang around until your desired value is reached and press shoot to stop. A pain. Otherwise I like this remote but these two issues means it will probably work it's way down to the bottom of my gear bag.

*SETTING DEMO FOR TIMELAPSE* ----------------- ***PIXEL TW-283 SEQUENCE*** ----------------- DELAY - 10” (before firing) LONG - 6” (exposure time) INTERVAL - 12” (between each shot) N1 - 3 (3 total 6” shots will be taken) REPEAT - 10” (if N2 set more than 1) N2 - 2 (2 rounds of above settings) ---------------- ***MEANINGS FOR MODES*** ---------------- DELAY - Time before first shot will be taken. This only happens for shot #1. LONG - Exposure time for each shot. INTERVAL - Time between each shot. N1 - Total shots you want taken. REPEAT - Time before the next exact sequence of settings repeats itself. If only 1 sequence is desired it does not matter what REPEAT is set to as long as N2 is only set to 1 then you will only get 1 sequence. N2 - Number of times your set sequence will take place.
