we didnt trade 5 first rounders for ihart. he was a cheap handcuff to robinson at the time. they were taking a flyer on him. im not saying mikal isnt going to turn it around, but the expectations are much higher for him individually and the team as a whole than when hartenstein came in. its not the same situation at all

Bridges seems to be avoiding any physical contact, both on offense and defense. He doesn’t fight through screens and as Fred said his favorite shot this season is a fade away midrange jump shot.

Notice how Mikal Bridges plays without Brunson. He seems to get more energy and shoots more. I have said from the beginning that he might play better with the bench unit.

That’s what I thought Bridges was going to be when they got him help have a more balanced team. It’s more of a threat having an elite bench than just a great starting 5 with no bench

He does play better with the bench but that shouldn’t affect his poor defense throughout the game. I always thought he should be the first starter that gets pulled, like the way Thibs used RJ, so then he’s the first starter that comes off the bench to lead the 2nd unit. Him and KAT can be a pair while Brunson and OG are the other pair of course with lots of overlap still

The problem with trading Mitch is that he will have zero trade value before the trade deadline. That means you need to include Deuce or Achiuwa with him. We don’t have the depth to do another 2 for 1 deal.
