This guy is such a cool dude! I love the fact that he's so open about his "foibles", which we all have, But , he's a lot "nicer" than the rest of us. Who of his stature, would play in a city like Sault Ste, Maire, Ont. ? Not money, just wants to perform! Thank You!! Wow!!

I'm only 20 years old and I know a LOT about pop culture and American history. People are surprised by that because I'm so young. But Elton always gives me a run for his money on pop culture. He makes his calls on the Oscars better than I have. That's awesome!!! So I have so much respect for him not just as a musician but as a person. He's amazing and he gives so much back as well. So I want to be cool like that someday.

Yeah, he's a monster talent - the real deal, love seeing him perform "Tiny Dancer" live, from the tape back in the early 70's - dead in key, dead in time, not a single missed note, scary.

I've always been someone who didn't think gay marriage was right, but after hearing "if you love someone you should have the chance to commit to them for life", I have completely changed my opinion. Also his music kicks ass.

Elton is so smart. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of music, of sport, and of the movies. He knows what's going on in the political world. How does he keep up with all that information?

I'm not sure but I'd give up half my credits in college to have dinner with Sir Elton John and pick his brain about pop culture!! Wouldn't you?

GENIUS musician ! he create 1000's of TIMELESS MASTERPIECES ! NOT just for his native country ... HIS ART is WORLDWIDE !! & This is the proof, that I'm NOT even American...or Australian or European !

@wreyoG Wow! I forgot I made that comment from 3 years ago. Thanks for replying to my comment. My response would be that Elton had encyclopedic knowledge well before the internet. If you read his interviews from say, 1973, you see Elton list off track numbers and publishing companies and what the 45's labels looked like for all these obscure artists. He knew movies and sports and politics and many topics for conversation.

@2seconds2long Paul Bettany is one person who comes to mind. He's British and is a pretty good actor, but isn't a huge name, so people would be more likely to just see the character and not the actor PLAYING Elton John. And Bettany is middle-aged, so with some make-up he could probably play John probably anymore from his early 20s to present.

Yes, he is so wonderful, but you know, I think America is becoming much more acceptable with gay people, I know I myself am gay and I have no people who think any different of me, they accept me and that's great, I am no different than any of you. Elton is wonderful.

So who is the man or masculine of the two in this relationship? I agree it took a democratic prez Obama got a law passed for lgtbq people to hook their wagons together as straight folks which was great. I do agree it’s more for the legal part of things that was major issue.

I knew something was wrong with him. The music, for the most part, was not very good from 1977 to 1990. Just a few hits here and there.

Love his music. Ask him about how he screwed Ray Williams out of Millions, as his first manager. The guy who put Elton & Bernie Taupin together. SHAMEFUL.

He seems friendly but I have seen he seems very narcissistic with being wealthy and a diva. He keeps says “As a gay man” sure we know your a queen but yes come down to earth Rocketman!!

Seems he's trying to or has been trying to make that 180 to be as honest and humane as possible ..Not sure what he has to say to try to show that he's not a self serving diva queen at least anymore ...
