Dang what a great interview! These are such down to earth guys - I’m really glad that they are still in business and with such great attitudes. I’m happy to be a proud American supporter of wos. Thanks for the awesome video !

It was a delight to do. Hopefully I can get in touch with Gawith in person next time I fly out.

999.9 % of my sunff purchase's are Wilson's of Sharrow , admittedly I have only been a snuffer for the last four years, previously cigarettes and occasionally a pipe, but now I only snuff and it has to be Wilsons, im not disrespecting other mills but the base flours of Wilsons are so premium and the great toppings are why i buy theirs. The only thing is that it would be nice if they brought back some of their previous lines, the rum and raisin and cola would be well on my order list. Im currently snuffing singletons m, and Beltane and I am ordering more Beltane end of this week and Africa and get a assorted pack as well for plenty of other scents. Wonderful interview and seeing and hearing the masters at Wilsons of sharrow face to face. Lucky you for getting to the mills and meeting the bosses etc . Now time for a quick pinch of my Wilsons snuff Thanks to both of you gentlemen for accepting the interview, and thanks for the brilliant snuff. And thanks to the interviewer for a great interview 😃

How’s the Singletons? James seemed disappointed that the Rumney’s and Singletons weren’t more popular when we talked about them off camera, I think he’s got a soft spot for them.

Best SP... top shelf

It really is phenomenal stuff - I'm near around half done with the 25g tin I was given, and that's saying something when there are so many other snuffs at my ready.

Nice to see some "behind the scenes" of WoS👍 They produce really some of the finest snuffs in the whole world, like my absolute favorite snuff, which is F&T-High Dry Toast, and so I hope that they can keep up with all the legislative BS that gets thrown at them.

They seem pretty optimistic about the whole thing, and WoS is one of the most beloved snuff brands on Earth. More than that are the pipe tobaccos they make and the other things they distribute. As a whole, the company seemed extremely healthy when I visited, in spite of looming legislation (let’s not forget that they’ve weathered centuries of changing laws and customs, and survived!)

Are tours of the old Sharrow mill open to the public or is it just by special invite?
@SnusAtHome2 ай бұрын
It’s a question I don’t really have an answer to! The interview was originally all I planned to do, and the tour just sort of happened by accident. James told me that while they used to do many more tours in the past, the facility as a whole is pretty unsafe (this is well before the time before unions, OSHA, employee safety, child labor laws, etc.) For example, guardrails on the old snuff mills were only installed hundreds of years after the mill was originally built. Wonder how many fingers were lost… The snuff itself is made in a very modern, clean, and safe facility within the grounds of Sharrow Mill, but those aren’t open due to trade secrets. I’m sure if you ask politely and had a group coming up, they’d show you a thing or two, but turning on the old mill itself seemed like a pretty involved process that they simply might not have the time for depending on the day. Friendly guys all around, the whole staff too. WoS is much more than just Dave and James, and I wish I got to talk with some of the others on the team, but of course, they were busy. Things to do in a place like that!
