It was very interesting to know about the football shirt design and Ina explaining a lot about the shirts and adidas company and from designers point of view.

As an Englishman who collects shirts, The Home and Away for Germany 90 are right up there as ultra classics. Holland 88, Soviet Union 88.

Adidas brought it back for a limited time only! This one and Spain's national jersey from the World Cup when it was in USA in 1994. Great idea/ move by Adidas.

I completely agree. The modern take on vintage design is a cool trend for football shirts. I actually wish they’d included the flag colors as well in the 2018 shirt design (or some color) in addition to the black and white.

The tennis stuff of Lendl, Graf and Edberg was huge. A cross over collaboration for those countries?

Interesting she said the flag band was to symbolise winning… because I would love to know if the design team consciously realised that flag band is identical to a line graph of west Germany performances at world cups from 1974 to 1990 ! So, left to right Across the shirt 1974 ( winners ) on the left shoulder then dips sharply to worst performance 1978 last 8 group stage …… ( under adidas logo) then rises and levels out in middle to right part off the shirt ( 1982+ 1986 runners up) before the prediction that they would win again! ( flag banner rises up to right shoulder equal to the left shoulder section that “represent” 1974 …… so while Dutch 88 Is a classic shirt the German one is the greatest simply because it’s also a great looking shirt like the Dutch one but how many shirts also hid a line chart and a prediction on top as well !
