THANK YOU! Rob. I needed this so much today. I’ve become so discouraged by engaging with the TO recently. My frustration, anger and broken heartedness for the TO took me down last night. It’s like we don’t even believe in the same Jesus in a way. I needed this Christ centered discussion. So many are researching God, not chasing a relationship with God. They are theologically rich with facts but spiritually poor in application. I'll be watching this again. I need to mow more lawns.

@digimike8 If you model your life after Jesus, who did not eat pork, rested on the Sabbath, and lectured those who followed man-made religion, then you do well. If you don't, then you, I suppose, are not living like Jesus did. Help me out if you can, as this is a complicated topic. The once perfect life that Jesus lived is now considered spiritually poor? If Jesus came back right now and lived the exact same way, you would be frustrated, angry, and broken hearted because he's not living up to your man-made religious rules? I guess I can see why you are frustrated. Your religious logic does not make things easy for you. God bless and have a joyful weekend.

The Mosaic Covenant was fulfilled in it’s entirety at Cavalry. It was therefore terminated as a matter of law, being fully satisfied. The Law of Christ is everything we read in the New Testament. Going back to the Law of Moses is a damnable heresy called “bondage” by St Paul, the repentant Pharisee.

The gentleman said: 'Are we bound by the ten commands?' 'Yes n No..' Most of the Christians I meet will regularly say, the Old Testament is obsolete, done away n otherwise not relevant. I disagree. The Older Testament is the Dictionary of the New (rather Renewed). The blank page between the OT n the NT does not exist. There's great value in practicing the commands, including the 4th. There is value in the civil laws although not all possible in this day n age.

Wow! Do you realize what this interview caused me to think?? Isaiah 53:5, prophesying “He was pierced through for our transgressions“, and then back to Matthew 5:17, “I did not come to annul the law or the prophets“….!!!! It’s very clear 100% that there will be no more prophecy declaring “he was pierced through for our transgressions“ because that prophecy has already happened, and there’s no returning to it because it has been fulfilled! The only people still clinging to that prophecy would be ones who have not come to the Messiah! So if we’re not returning to that prophecy because of his fulfillment, the same would apply to the fulfillment of the law!! Law was fulfilled, in the same way that the prophecy was fulfilled! So Matthew 5:17 is really clear AND Matthew 5:18-ALL is ACCOMPLISHED!!!! In other words, if we are no longer looking for that particular prophecy to be fulfilled, because that declaration has been satisfied, we are no longer looking to the law, because that too has been satisfied and fulfilled!

@@jobjoseph1815 and by the way, I don’t teach anyone not to keep what Jesus taught us! Romans teaches us for what the law could not do weak as it was through the flesh guarded sending his only son in the likeness of sinful flesh, I am righteous by the blood of Christ and nothing else. The fact that neither you, nor I, nor anyone else was able to “keep the law“ is the very reason that we have a new testament. And I believe that the beautiful Torah was given because of transgressions, in order to lead us to the brink of exasperation so to speak, since no one was able to keep it, we come to realize that it was given for that very purpose! To illuminate the terrain in which we currently find ourselves deployed. No one was able to keep it, and to be honest, no one claiming to keep it presently today, is in all honesty keeping it! I appreciate the Savior while having his arms spread apart making the comment that “it is accomplished”, and I trust in that 100%!

You mentioned The Sixth Sense as an analogy of being so steeped in our own cultures and traditions that we don't pick up on all the clues pointing to the truth. I had a very different experience when I watched that movie for the first time. I was in Germany when I saw it in the theater. I was not fluent in the language so I was really trying hard to keep up and follow the story. At the end when it's revealed that the guy was dead all along, my German friend had the typical reaction and I was shocked that she didn't know that he was dead. I knew the whole time. So the director's clever storytelling was lost on me since my language skills were lacking. How would my experience apply in your analogy?

Rob, Few points on Matthew 5:17-19. The word fulfill means “to make alive” and Jesus Is referring to make TORAH alive in each person. How do we know that this is true? Each sentence after verse 17 breaks it down and makes it even more clear. Jesus said whoever keeps the commandments, referring to the commandments of Moses and teachers others to do the same shall be called greatest in the kingdom of God, or another synonym would be the kingdom of heaven. one of the major keys to understanding this text is to know when did the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of God begin for humanity. Well, let us let the scriptures answer, Jesus said, born amongst women there has not risen a greater prophet than John the Baptist. Jesus continues.; yet whoever is in the kingdom of heaven, or the kingdom of God shall be greater than John the Baptist. So we must ask ourselves when did the kingdom of heaven or the kingdom of God begin if the greatest within the old testament compared to anyone in this new kingdom is a lesser of the two. The answer is people began to enter as citizens of the kingdom of heaven, on the day of Pentecost when the new covenant was instituted. therefore Matthew 5:17-19 is speaking about anyone living in the era of the sons of GOD in the kingdom of heaven. So we can see Jesus is literally saying that anyone who lives in the kingdom of God that teaches the Commandments and lives by them shall be called greatest, and whoever does not keep them nor teaches Shall be least.

Hi Jeremy. The Greek word πληρόω does not mean "to make alive." Rather, it means to fulfill; complete; fill. (If you want to look it up in Strong's, it's G4137.) And it's semantic range includes: to make replete, i.e. (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.:-accomplish, × after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply. Blessings, Rob

@Defending the Biblical Roots of Christianity dear Rob, we know that this definition is incorrect. The reason is because the next 2 to 3 next sentences explain its meaning in context no different than the genesis account when it explains how God made Adam and Eve, then it recounts it again in ch3. Don’t get distracted with the word fulfilled read the three sentences together as one unit Put it all together, You cannot do away with the next 2 to 3 verses it says whoever keeps the Commandments of Moses and teaches others to do the same Shall be greatest in the kingdom of GOD. I explained in another comment. Jesus said born amongst women there has not arisen a greater prophet than John the Baptist. But whoever is in the Kingdom of Heaven/GOD shall be greater than he. When we carefully research this, we find that the only event that could have made men greater than John the Baptist, and enter as a citizen, or member, or son of the kingdom of heaven, or the kingdom of God is after Jesus rose from the dead, and we are baptized into his death, burial and resurrection in Acts 2:38 receiving HIS SPIRIT. This text puts away any and all quarrels concerning whether or not faith is alone or faith is actually works acted out with pure belief and faith. In Hebrews chapter 11, which so many teachers quote as faith alone resulted in righteousness yet Anyone who clearly reads this slow can see that none of these men mentioned had faith alone Hebrews 11 clearly indicates that they had obedience in action coupled with their faith. This is why most of the church world does not believe that you have to be baptized, and filled with the Holy Spirit in order to be born again, or saved which in today’s world, they put these two together synonymous (born again and saved) what’s interesting is not one person in the entire gospel accounts was born again, but many were saved. as you know, the Greek word, Sozo means to be rescued or saved or delivered. Many are saved, and Many are delivered, but few you are born again. Matthew 12:43-45 clearly teaches. The house was empty. Born again experiences didn’t happen until act ch 1

@Defending the Biblical Roots of Christianity dear Rob. Fulfill in Greek means to make full or better understood to make it come to its intended fruition, running over or to make fully alive. Let us examine Ezekiel 36:26 for further context to the mission of YHVH in YESHUWAH 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. Jesus wants to make full and running over HIS KINGDOM in us. He’s going to make those tablet of stone which the commandments were on and he’s gonna make it alive because he’s gonna put those commandments on a heart that is beating, and it is alive coupled with the breath of God HIS Holy Spirit. The word fulfill means to make full, running over, or make alive in you the will and commandments of GOD, as many many texts in the Old Testament clearly indicates what the goals or reason behind why the Messiah would come.

God had just freed his people after 430 years as slaves. The people would need to be guided in their new liberated state as the had always been guided by those who were their masters. They quickly fell into idolatry in their new found freedom. God laid out the law, the ceremonial practises, the way to pray, to worship and to honour the creator. We use these same laws today. You could also look at Israel as the soul, Egypt as the ego and the red sea event as over coming the things of the flesh and thereby gaining the freedom, of the glory, of the children of God.

That a man has spoken, prophesied, seen, dreamt, preached, taught, sang, wrote and done through the spirit of God Yehovah the word of God Yehovah does not mean everything he has ever spoken, prophesied, seen, dreamt, preached, taught, sang, wrote and done or is speaking, prophesying, seeing, dreaming, preaching, teaching, singing, writing and doing or will prophesy, see, dream, speak, preach, teach, sing, write and do was, is or will be automatically the word of God Yehovah and of the spirit of God Yehovah automatically as if the man is not fallible. All are subject to the verification by the law of God Yehovah the covenant Lawgiver. Nothing or no one can justify defiance of the words of the law of the covenant of God Yehovah the covenant Lawgiver The words of the law of the covenant of God Yehovah the most high is the standard to judge and prove everyone, everything and every deed. Deuteronomy 29:9,29 ASV Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do. [29] The secret things belong unto Jehovah our God; but the things that are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. Deuteronomy 31:24-26 ASV And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, [25] that Moses commanded the Levites, that bare the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, saying, [26] Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of Jehovah your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee. Deuteronomy 13:1-5 ASV If there arise in the midst of thee a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give thee a sign or a wonder, [2] and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; [3] thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that dreamer of dreams: for Jehovah your God proveth you, to know whether ye love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul. [4] Ye shall walk after Jehovah your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. [5] And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he hath spoken rebellion against Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bondage, to draw thee aside out of the way which Jehovah thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee. Deuteronomy 18:15,18-22 ASV Jehovah thy God will raise up unto thee a prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; [18] I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. [19] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. [20] But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die. [21] And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word which Jehovah hath not spoken? [22] when a prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah hath not spoken: the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, thou shalt not be afraid of him. Jeremiah 23:28-29,35-37 ASV The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat? saith Jehovah. [29] Is not my word like fire? saith Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? [35] Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbor, and every one to his brother, What hath Jehovah answered? and, What hath Jehovah spoken? [36] And the burden of Jehovah shall ye mention no more: for every man's own word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of Jehovah of hosts our God. [37] Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath Jehovah answered thee? and, What hath Jehovah spoken? Exodus 23:7 ASV Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked. Psalm 119:21,51,53,85,115,118-119,126,136,139,150,155,158 ASV Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, That do wander from thy commandments. [51] The proud have had me greatly in derision: Yet have I not swerved from thy law. [53] Hot indignation hath taken hold upon me, Because of the wicked that forsake thy law. [85] The proud have digged pits for me, Who are not according to thy law. [115] Depart from me, ye evil-doers, That I may keep the commandments of my God. [118] Thou hast set at nought all them that err from thy statutes; For their deceit is falsehood. [119] Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: Therefore I love thy testimonies. [126] It is time for Jehovah to work; For they have made void thy law. [136] Streams of water run down mine eyes, Because they observe not thy law. [139] My zeal hath consumed me, Because mine adversaries have forgotten thy words. [150] They draw nigh that follow after wickedness; They are far from thy law. [155] Salvation is far from the wicked; For they seek not thy statutes. [158] I beheld the treacherous, and was grieved, Because they observe not thy word. Proverbs 15:29 ASV Jehovah is far from the wicked; But he heareth the prayer of the righteous. Deuteronomy 27:26 ASV Cursed be he that confirmeth not the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen. Jeremiah 11:3 ASV and say thou unto them, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel: Cursed be the man that heareth not the words of this covenant,

@Sonia They should not as Mosaic Law is not the Torah, it is an amendment given to Moses due to sin, and since become redundant as the covenant with Moses was fulfilled. I can tell you study the Holy Bible, so why is Genesis in the Torah, but Moses is not in Genesis? Because the Torah was given to Abraham. As I say it is all in my Ytube video series.

@Sonia Jews should believe Jesus is the Prophet of Deuteronomy 18, however the Torah was given to Abraham, and Moses was not there at that time. Moses was not necessarily the author of Genesis, but having the Torah already in Genesis shows the instructions to Moses were merely an amendment due to sin. By the way Jesus fulfilled the law of Abraham, the version of God's law to be fulfilled by faith not by the letter. I have a Ytube video 'Is Abraham the father of the Christians, Jews or Muslims #26 Myths in so-called Christianity', which shows no of the above follow the Torah of Abraham, although it is in the Holy Bible

@Sonia John 8:58 is Jesus speaking but not witnessing for himself. Let that sink in. That is Jesus impersonating his Father, as he says when you see him you see his Father. God is revealing that it is he inside Jesus speaking through the Holy Spirit. Yes Christians if they are baptised are co-heirs as children of God if they qualify as an Isaac not a Agar. Jesus fulfilled the Torah of Abraham because it was and is relevant, he fulfilled the law by faith, not the letter of Moses. Moses was given an amendment which had an expiry date, but true believers are the seed of Abraham in the Torah of Abraham. Remember Genesis is in the Torah, but Moses is not in Genesis. Of course Jesus was the Messiah, the very Prophet of Deuteronomy 18 who would only speak the word of God, who sanctified himself for the truth.

@Sonia Jesus was the Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18 and was bound to speak only what God allowed. No new commandments, because the Torah was given to Abraham, there was no glory in the law of Moses. "Speaking is not witnessing", how do we bare witness in court, by speaking. The Holy Sporit of God descended on Jesus, it did to the apostles at Pentecost, which enabled all miracles and Jesus and the apostles to speak on God's behalf as he put the words in their mouth. How did Abraham obey God's laws and keep his statutes if they had not been given to him? That is how Moses who was not born then did not receive the Torah of Abraham, but an amendment due to sin, which Jesus can remove the curse of death for by keeping the Torah of Abraham. Jesus is now judge as John 5:22, so we must believe in him as John 5:24.

In his conversation with Rob, Chad stated that when Yehovah presented the sheet with unclean and unholy aninamls to Peter, Peter was struggling with his life at the time, not knowing whether to eat or not to eat. This only shows the misinterpretation of a Christian theologian. "Was God encouraging Peter to break one of his commandments?" should be the question. If the answer is yes, then we cannot take God at his word, because when He gave his commandments, they were to be obeyed as righteousness toward them. as stated in Deuteronomy 6:25. But it appears that these so-called theologians want to deceive God's people into believing that God no longer wants us to be obedient to his word, and God himself is attempting to entice Peter to break one of his commandments by eating something he considers detestable and an abomination.

Yahuah had a complete difference of opinion. In regards to the question do Christians keep the laws of Moses? Exodus 12:49 [49]One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you. Of there are some which don't apply to strangers. For example those which are for priest only. Yahuah had given laws long before Moses. Notice Noah separated clean and unclean animals and Lot served the angels unleavened bread 🤔. Israel's main purpose is to be a light to the nations. Showing the world how to keep Yahuah's laws, statues and commandments.

Luis, do not waste your time with that fake believer, j gesnar, whenever he cannot respond to a question, his ignorance is exhibited. Luis, I see in Rob's response to you that God had already declared all food clean prior to Peter's vision. As always, his theology gets in the way, causing him to speak what he thinks and not what God made clear when he first spoke. Mark 7:1-23 has nothing to do with clean or unclean food, and not even the Greek insinuates that. Verse 6 through 9 tell us exactly what this chapter is all about, which is the Pharisees' laying aside the commandments of God and teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. Yeshua was clear when he first spoke, but he had to tell his disciples in Mark 7: "Are you so without understanding also?" In other words, Yeshua was clear in what he said, and they could not even understand it. If the topic was food, the disciple would have understood that. Luis, f Rob knows that Mark 7 was added to the text and not found in the original text, then why is he quoting it, making it appear as if it is a true statement that was made? Why can't his follower ask him that question? I watched some of the video and would like to make some comments. According to Luke 24:44, Yeshua said, "These are the words which I spoke unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me." He didn't use the phrase "had to," but rather "all things must be fulfilled concerning him," which could mean that not everything concerning him was fulfilled. But let us assume it was; the fact is that this verse has nothing to do with the law of God. Another thing, everyone quotes Matthew 5:17 to dismiss the commandments; if this is the case, then why, in Matthew 7:12, is Yeshua referring them to the law and the prophets when he says: "Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the law (the Torah, God's instructions) and the prophets?" By the way, verse 15 warns us about false prophets. If Gentile believers can understand that they become part of the commonwealth of Israel when they come to the Messiah, they will learn to put the law in its proper perspective instead of trashing God's laws. As I previously stated, Gentile believers have been engraved with the lie that the laws of God have been done away with. There are two kinds of believers: those who put God's laws in their proper perspective and those who trash God's laws because they want nothing to do with the God of Israel nor do they want anything to do with God's laws.

@@JGez83 - If Rob avoids my questions like many of you do, why debate him? As for the other guy, he agrees with both sides to draw people. His debates are for publicity, and he has been questioned and does not respond according to Scripture. You appear to know nothing about him other than that he believes in Christianity. I do not need to debate to get my point across and have my questions answered. Why don't you ask Rob why he avoided responding to many of my questions? As for you, you are ignorant of the truth of God's word, and as I previously stated, I do not believe you have a relationship with God in Yeshua, and your foul language made that clear. Most likely, you are a fake. Don't bother me with your nonsense. "If Matthew 5:17 is about doing away with God's laws, which he refers to as Moses' laws, then why does Yeshua refer them back to the law and prophets when he said, "Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the law and the prophets (Matthew 7:12)? I would ask you, but you have a problem with reading comprehension, as many agree."
