By far the most heartening and inspiring discussion I have heard or read about the ways to help move the Earth forward- She combines wisdom, great heart in a way that is so understandable which is one of her strengths as she started out saying. I have never been comfortable with the Darwinian principle of survival of the fittest--she elicited beautifully why it is wrong--This needs to be sent out to as many people as possible--I am in gratitude for you finding her and presenting her to us in this medium of positivity and love Namaste Christine K

I specially love the part where she talks about how nature teaches us everything about community because I used to be the type of gardener in the suburbs where I would kill all the weeds and spray things and prune things up to little squares and then I came to an old wild garden to live among old trees and I saw the community that the garden had I learned was to help, participate , and co-create with the tree community not to overpower 👍🕊🌏😁💖

Awesome integration of lessons to be learned from nature, the historical and cultural stories of science across the world, loved the keyboard analogy for containing all of it, the visible and the invisible with the lenses of the material, electro magnetic and consciousness; our indigenous legacies and emerging grass roots solutions. I was talking with my women's group about how tired I am of my old stories about my wounding, about belonging, about human condition, about love, about men, about having answers, about "earning" a living. Caribbean Breadfruit came with Captain Bligh from Tahiti in 1793, ( that’s why the mutiny occurred on the first voyage) The British brought it to feed the slaves, trees take up less space than planting starchy root crops. It was first brought to St Vincent where the oldest western Botanic gardens are, then to Jamaica and the other islands.

I like some of the ideas discussed here especially bottom to top model. I lived in Hawaii and I taught children in Hawaii and I have to disagree that ancient Polynesian sailors brought breadfruit to the Caribbean. They brought breadfruit to Hawaii. Captain Bligh and Captain Cook brought breadfruit to the Caribbean as easy slave food.
