Great interview! Katie is just so passionate and knowledgeable about the subject and I am totally giggling about the Al trautwig erasure. I really loved how much she included voices of other Black gymnasts and The voices of so many journalists who have covered Simone around the world.

think by law Simone has to use a booster seat to drive because of height minimums to sit in the front seat which vary from state to state believe in her current home state Texas its 1.45m or 4 Ft 9 in and she's only 4 Ft 8 in age min for front seat in 13 yrs old. and weight limit is 50 Kilos or 110 LBs and the entry helper on Trucks SUV's and Vans is called a running board usually in a regular sedan/sports car you have a scuff plate in the drivers side door that has make model body shell maker Vin number etc. for example you might think Park Avenue was always a Buick nameplate no it wasn't it was a trim package on the Cadillac Deville/Eldorado first in the 60s early 70s it didn't become a Buick until 1991 model year as a full size model alongside the Riviera and Road master sedans/wagons I stopped needing a Booster seat in a car around age 10 though the law didn't require it until later

Yeah, I've been doing some research about this because I have a 9-year-old who is itching to get out of her booster seat, but because she's a little tiny peanut it probably won't happen for a couple more years if I'm absolutely following guidelines.
