Please don't stop making videos! I love this content. You bring different perspectives that make listening fun & interesting. I have 3 job offers on the table & I'm still watching these as if I dont have any 😂. Turned down one that had the lowest salary, but 1 day later, they came back and offered a competing salary. All in the higher education field. All reputable universities. Doing some digging on Glassfoor to help me narrow it down.

I'm sure @Don Georgevich has already covered this, but always... always... always... arrive for an interview with plenty of time in hand. Many micro-delays can get in your way: You might not know where to park; it might take additional time to find the right building; you might have a visitor badge issued; take time to walk to the interview's office or meeting room, etc. I recommend, arrive in plenty of time and tell reception, "I'm 15 minutes early for a 2pm meeting" for example. Use the time to freshen up, practice some of your answers or review the position description, etc. One more thought: Quite often the interviewer is late, they will start by saying "sorry I'm running late" . If you were there with time to spare, there's a little "points" advantage and you'll go into the interview feeling more calm & confident.

Things are getting out of control in the business market. It takes so much detailed preparation for interview, many things to be responsible if you're hired, performance goals are high and the management is always demanding. I'm not sure about the corporate world anymore. All those efforts and stress seem like it's not worth for what you make. I've been seriously thinking about a modest life and work in my father's farm. Eventually all we're looking for is a happy and healthy life.

with phone interviews they do the same thing, they'll have more than 1 person connected sometimes 2 extra just to take notes and to listen

I know this sometimes more intimidating but I am a fan of having another person there so that I can take a break from the interview so to speak and just observe. Good explanation! (Although making them look a bit creepy ha!)

Don- I've asked other experts in your field (unsuccessful to get a reply) to address the issue of searching for social media activity of applicants- how deep do they go? Services such as Ferretly and Reputation Defender etc. are what I'm thinking of. Or maybe just the HR team looking at "activity" sections on Linked-In, Facebook, etc. for the discussions you participate in. Do they use a "social media score" in their assessment?

I had this experience. At first, I had a good feeling, but I understood they accepted me to find another person instead of me. I called them and rejected the offer. what should I have do in this position? I should stay until they are tired of searching? Their attidude were different when they accepted me and then put me in waiting list again. Is it acceptable??
