That white piece you were wondering about is for the drain plug of the pool located at the base of pool near the water return jet. Unscrew the outside cap of plug and screw that piece into the plug. Then screw a water hose to it for proper drainage per city/ HOA code.

You don’t need an upgraded pump as long as you clean the pool daily. Also rinse the filter often and change it as needed, you can buy filter cleaner but I’m sure dish soap would work as well. As long as you keep the right amount of chemicals as well the filter works just fine and you can keep the pool clean. When you put shock or other chemicals do it at night and run the pump all night to mix and clean your pool overnight. I did all this last summer and my pool stayed really clean. It’s basically the same concepts as having a built in pool, you also need to brush the pool to help the filter collect debris and prevent algae. One more tip buy a cover and cover it when not in use and the pool will last several years.

Wow! I didn’t know they made the T joints where you don’t have to put them pins in anymore. I have same size pool as yours that I purchased in 2018. 3 swim seasons in now and my family still loving it. $99 bucks from Walmart with pump. I’m surprised also how pricey others are selling them for just to make a profit.

Yeah, price gauging in full effect during this pandemic. This pool is great. I can’t believe how easy out was to put together. We are getting so much use out of it. Glad yours is going three years strong!

I bought a inter pool 12 by 30 and it’s the same filter I don’t know what the white piece is for either I accidentally put the plugs on because I didn’t know and your video is the only video out so many that’s helped me.

Do you have to do the ground leveling thing with this size of a pool ?

The extra basket with screw end threads is for connecting a hose to the pool when needing to drain the water from the pool

We got ours from Facebook … unfortunately a local guy had purchased every pool he could get and jacked up the prices. He had 5 storage units full of pools. I ended up getting a 20x52 Coleman for $645 but it was new, still sealed and they were selling online (when you could find them) for upwards of $2,000! It’s sad how people took advantage during the pandemic but we had our old pool for 8yrs with no issues so we didn’t mind paying a little extra because we knew it was a good product.

yeah, I also got mine from facebook marketplace from someone local. They definitely price gouged and we paid more than retail. It was frustrating, but there was no where else that had any of these in stock. At least it was brand new and it has lasted a couple of seasons already. I saw a really nice oval shaped one at a local store this year...its so much nicer and bigger for about the same price I paid for this Intex one. Jealous! Hope you enjoy your pool, and thanks for commenting!

That extra piece was to empty pool. It attaches to hose to get into the pool to quickly empty

From my research, that’s the range you should expect to pay. $500-$600. It does seem to be coming down these days...or it’s dependent on the weather. LoL. Good luck! You’ll get lots of use out of it so this might be something worth the splurge.
@Scarekrow244 жыл бұрын
@@johnny0723 600 bucks for a 100 dollar pool is not something I would call "worth the splurge". That is a total ripoff and greedy price gouging. They call all rot before I pay a dime over retail.
