Intex PureSpa Error Code Fix and Reset

Thanks for making this video. After dealing with the dreaded E81 MANY times over the years, I suspect this happens to mine whenever there is an interruption to the electric or the wifi, as it seems to correspond with power surges, overnight router updates, etc. I struggled with the reset until I tried this: Step 1: Take the control panel from the pump unit and hold it in your hand Step 2: Press and hold the on/off button for more than 5 seconds to turn off the control panel Step 3: Unplug the pump unit from the power outlet Step 4: Place the control panel, which is still off, back on the pump unit Step 5: Plug the pump unit back into the power outlet and activate the spa with the RESET (Rücksetzen) button and wait for 1 to 3 seconds Pay attention! Do not press the TEST button, this will turn off the spa again The control panel will then reconnect and display the temperature. Please note: the control panel is still off. To operate the control panel, you have to switch on the control panel. I have the devil of a time trying to turn it back on, but eventually get there.

Thank you. Mine had an error code of low salt. Added salt. Code didn't go away. Now it works

Just got the Intex Pure Spa!! Love the tub. Set up is easy. I am experiencing a steady leak but all connections are tight. I did have the error code E 80/ E81 but resetting fixed it, Thank You !!

The steady leak is probably from not having the silicone seal ring thingys things on it, that was my issue

Jeff, the reset as you told worked for me. We had a small Electric faillure for 2 seconds. So I think that was the course.

Hey Jeff I just had the same issue and legit the same environment here temperature wise (40s and sometimes dipping into 30s but not freezing). So it’s good to hear that it was just a quick reset. Mine’s working again too! 🎉

Hey my hottub disnt come with eh screw in filter cartridge but seems to be a newer model with. Filter on the bottom of the pump. Can I use the tub a couple times until I get those??

Jeff mine does it every so often, I just keep trying and keep trying and it usually does ok. Not very happy about it, only had it two months.

I've tried all of these suggested work around tips. Still showing E81 on the screen and beeping. New filters fixed the E90 codes. Temp in 50s at night here in Iowa. Not sure what else to try? I've had nothing but problems with this hot tub.

My tub bulged on one side, looked it up. Deflated it. Now code E81 and air/bubble pump is no longer working

After cleaning and replacing filters I got error E90 I do not feel any suction on Main filter when I replace the filters when I remove the filters I get good suction

I have just bought one. It doesn’t charge. How do they charge. It had a little battery power when I installed it so I know the bubbles etc work. It just doesn’t charge and I can’t do a thing without the power. Thank you for your video. Love your pussie x

Hey Jeff I bought the PureSpa by Intex inflatable. I got everything setup and the salt added in correctly, but having trouble getting the unit itself to connect to the app. Any how to videos for that? Thanks in advance, Jared

That worked the first 2 times. But I reset and test but my jets still run with the power turned off.

It will flash END if the heater is unable to reach the set temperature after 72 hours. This can be caused be extreme cold, not enough insulation from your cover (Are you using an energy saving cover that comes all the way down to the ground?) or if the heater is having difficulties. You should be able to wake it back up by pressing the filter button. E81 is if you lose wireless signal between the pump unit and control panel. This can be caused by excessive distance between the two. If you have a new pump and re-use the old control panel, I do not know how to pair the two together.

I woke up to an E81 the first morning after initial setup. The GFCI on the plug kept tripping. Other devices on the same circuit were functioning just fine. I plugged a hair dryer with a GFCI plug into the same outlet as the spa and it worked fine. My suspicion is when my grow light turned on at 8am, it was too much for the spa to run as well and the GFCI sense the additional draw and tripped? Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how I got it reset but after several iterations of unplugging it and powering off/on the control panel, it started working again. I moved the grow light to another circuit and (knock on graywood) I haven't gotten another E81 since.

I did that…. And it worked for me. …. Random. It’s mild where I am, I’m not convinced it’s to do with the outside temp. Reddit says control unit …. People have had units replaced with same error

I’ve had an Intex inflatable hot tub for a couple years. You are correct that when the water fails to get to temperature after around 24 hours it just shuts off and you have to restart it again, it’s really pretty annoying and I wish it would just keep trying to heat the water even if it’s not reaching full temperature.
