To worst products ever manufactured a microwave and a crock pot the microwave so you can just warm stuff up so you don't have to cook and a crock pot so you can just dump a bunch of stuff in there and say it's food generally consist of soups from a can a bag of pasta some frozen vegetables and enough preservatives so you won't need embalming

Hey Mel, these recipes all look just delicious & simple to make. I dont know if u have it in ur grocery store but theres a new Campbells Cream of Chicken & Mushroom soup thats combined in 1 can now! Its perfect for those of us even cooking for 1, where 2 cans can end up becoming way too much sauce. Its brilliant how they listened to cooks! I think that Millionaire one looks divine! @@InTheKitchenWithMommaMel Theres an even better one called Cream of Onion Soup - it has a bit of Sautern Wine in it & its just yummy! I take a bag of Baby Gold Potatoes, washed & just tossed in a deep sides saute pan + 1 can water, chunks of Celery & sweet onion, a can of drained Cooked Chicken then dollop 4 Tbsp of Chip Dip on it and cover & let it Stew & get super tender. The flavor and ease is fabulous! I hope u try it, it's a great Mama Mel Easy Recipe. Of course u could let the potatoes Stew with Pork Tenderloin or Pork Chops too, but I find canned chicken is tender bc its pressure cooked. I noticed the Cream of Bacon too but haven't tried it yet. Glad u got to recharge over the holidays, Mel. I think this will definitely be the week I send u an email. 🙋‍♀️💕💕💕

I make a very similar tex mex chicken dish like this all the time. One suggestion is to also add a heaping teaspoon of cumin and and at the can of wrenched black beans at the very end. The corn is fine to add at the beginning what the black beans tend to get mushy and smashed when shredding the chicken so again if you add them to the end they hold their texture much better. Please Please never use those crockpot liners! Shortly before the plannedemic Reynolds was almost forced to pull them off the market because because of the plastic leaching some type of chemical into the food but for some reason that got called off. I don't know why the f dcalled off their dogs but I think it's better to be safe than sorry. If you're not supposed to put plastic in the microwave I don't think you should line your slow cooker with it. They do make silicone liners that are not very expensive That consumer report says is a safer alternative.

@@trish3572 I work in the corporate offices of a major retailer here in the Southeastern yes and I remembereading about it shortly before the pandemic but with all the craziness and the supply chain stresses it just seemed to fall out of our feed. I remember because we had already started to halt the purchase from Reynolds and my company no longer carryes Our store branded version version which came direct from Reynolds. It makes sense considering we're told not to put plastics in the microwave or to not subject them too high of heat so that's a chance I'm but willing to take. And I'm definitely not like a health nut or Granola hippie I'm just your normal everyday diet doctor pepper junkie.

I think I will try the Ritz chicken dish, but make real mashed potatoes, and maybe sweetened carrots.. That Ritz chicken looks really good.... I make a dish called Chicken Divan (Paula Deen's recipe doctored up by me) which has cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, buttered crushed Ritz for the top, chicken, broccoli florets white wine, mayonnaise , and plenty of spices and it is one of my favorite dishes, so I'm sure I will like this. it is SO hard to cook for two and even harder for one. Hubcap and I are empty nesters 6 months and then our house grows to 4 in the spring/summer. SO VERY HARD to know what to fix or how much. Maybe that is a series you can do.. Cooking for two and expanding to 4 (or more kinda thing. ) lol

Talk about crockpot liners, mine have been sticking and melting to the pot. Could it be the setting is too high or the brand?

Hmm I don't know about that. I have been sewing reusable silicone ones on Amazon, they might be worth a try. If you're not noticing your food getting burned or cooking differently, it very well could be the brand of liners

Happy New Year, Mel! Since the bad weather is heading toward Virginia tomorrow, I had to make a quick run to the grocery store today to make sure we have everything we need for about a week or two, as I don't drive in ice and snow unless it is unavoidable. I also have a working pantry, but needed milk, bread, and a few extras to take to my mother in the nursing home. Praying that you all in Tennessee are safe and warm throughout this winter storm.

Those look really good for a cold winter supper. I doctor up my canned green beans also since my son loves them with bacon grease or chopped cooked bacon, salt and pepper, and thinly sliced onions. We don’t add any sugar though. My husband and son refuse to eat instant mashed potatoes, so when we have mashed potatoes, it’s always from scratch. Happy New Year from Texas!

I never precook pasta even lasagna noodles, add in make sure they have sauce on them and they will cook from the water ,juice,sauce👍 in the dish
