Mike i know your a busy guy pal, and this will seem very noddy to you, but how do i put FLEX on a current melody in another channel? ive seen vids of you putting flex on the rack then creating a melody but i want to try flex sounds on a current melody i have..

Coming from a completely new fl studio user, you’ve by far been the most helpful in just getting familiar with the program. In just 2 days(~3 hours messing with the program itself), I’m already flowing around the program easier. I’m only a few minutes in to the video and just knowing now that you don’t have to bring everything up every time you select an instrument is huge. Thanks for these videos man!!!

6:36 This video proves that even if you've been producing with FL Studio for 15+ years like me even a basics refresher course like this can teach you something you didn't already know. I never realized that the graph editor panning and the panning on the rack cancel eachother out. You know how many times I was losing my mind wondering why my hi hats/percussion would suddenly sound so much different later on during my projects? Now I know why! I change the main racks panning slightly long after I change individual panning perimeters within the graph editor. 🤣

how long did it take you to get good? im just beginning and this is very confusing
@mot00rzysta2 ай бұрын
@@Invadercory It kind of depends on the genre you choose. If you make e.g. house it's usually people around you who will tell you if it sounds good/interesting. The more experimental you get - the more you need to be self-assured your stuff is good and you like it yourself. IF by "good" you mean good sound of your production - look for other videos about sound mixing on this channel. This guy is very good at explaining basics.

Ages ago when I discovered FL [Fruity Loops 3.5] I was heavily inspired by Autechre. So you might understand how high the bar was set for me :)) And now I finally discover that I could make my hihats a bit more interesting sounding by just changing the pitch of them graphically in pianoroll xD FL Studio is a great DAW for people with ideas. It has lots of features that can help your creativity if you notice them and learn how to use them. You can do lots of crazy stuff with this software if you know how.

I like to explain "swing" rhythms as the placement of your eighth note. It's not the delay of the 2 and 4 beats its the delay of the "and' (1 AND 2 AND 3 AND 4 AND) subdivisions. Playing arround with where you put those eighth note subdivisions can really add to the feel and groove of your tracks!
