Racial discrimination is so true... I am into recruitment.. few companies say we don't want certain nationalities!! Many companies discriminate salary based on country of origin!! The job title is same but management have different salary strucure based on country. I have seen Indians and Filipinos do the same work (or better work) than what westerners do but still west comes with high price tag! Indians does the same work for 15 to 20 percent salary as that of the westerners. 😢😢

The staff for some reason thought that there are no indians who can be muslims. The drink and food was for muslims to break fast. Its strange that the staff did not know indians also can be muslims, which makes me think the staff wasn't local. The fact that he did not speak proper english and referred indians as india, seems quite obvious that he wasnt a local. Singaporeans are well aware that Indians also have muslims amongst them. They wouldn't call indians as india.

I’m not defending . Just putting the others side perspective. that salesperson have a assumption that Indians are all hindus and they don’t eat non vegetarian. So that’s why the salesman could have objected as it might contain non veg. In my experience most of Singaporeans are kind and would be very much careful about not to offend others belief and sentiment. So this could be unintentional and not seriously a racist act.
