Dude you are so right about ENFPs not being intimidated by you guys. My girlfriend and one of my best friends are INTJs and while I can't speak for everyone, there's an emotional purity to you guys that's really wholesome. Once you get past the outer layer, there is something so incredibly genuine and it makes me want to protect you. The certainty of knowing that you guys are being your most authentic selves, plus you deciding to have me as a friend, makes me feel super accepted because I know you really want me around. Wow, this comment really touched my INTJ heart in a way I didn't see coming. I'm always shocked at how many people finally confess to me after many years how intimidating they think I am. This always disturbs me, because I'm never trying to intimidate anyone--I'm just being myself. But I've never gotten that comment from an ENFP. ENFPs are my favorite humans on the planet. I think it's because they offset a deficit that I have and represent a side of myself that I wish I could be deep down.

I , ENFP, met my INTJ pal at gym. Nobody talks to him and many others dislike him even without knowing exactly why (might be because of the famous "bitch resting face" tho), just from brief talking about "for how long will you use that machine?" or so. But when we first met it was like natural magnetism. One of the things I really like about him is the meaningful conversations we use to have, I mean, I don't enjoy much talking about people and celebrities like many others do, which is also OK, but we'd rather talking about projects, history, science, and many other neverending topics.

ENTPs: Just love your alternate views of life, and how you can totally see one thing from 12 different angles. INFJs: You guys are great, because it is scary how you can read our emotions like an X Ray machine. INTJ: It is extremely weird, like talking to your own clone, but with a different body. ISFJ: Some how, you just make all the troubles go away with your grounded kindness and outlook of life.

Teamwork INFJ - The guider - ability to direct people to better themselves/ save them from misdirection INTJ - Planner - information through detailed extraction while planning each execution from Plan A to Z ENFJ - Protagonist - With my guidance he leads until one day i am no longer needed. INTJ/INFJ is a real good one, common Ni dom stuff, Te working off of Ti and vice versa. INTJ has a blind spot knowing where other people’s boundaries are and trips over them unintentionally, an INFJ would cover that blind spot. INTJ would help develop an INFJ’s logical side. Disagreements are not severe. Underrated pairing I think.

I've found both the Intj and Infj to be two sides of the same coin. My Infj friend of mine and I make a great pairing when discussing plans as we are talking about the same things, just in a different way. Intj tends to me more realistic and grounded than the Infj, thus we see all the bad in things, which the Infj might not want to acknowledge. On the other hand the Infj sees more of the people aspect which the Intj is blind to.

I'm istp and I had an intp and intj friends during college. Sometimes i feel off when i'm with them. They talk a lot about ideas and theories. And tho i enjoy listening to them, i don't really have much input on those things. I'd rather put those ideas to the test immediately. Idk how we stayed friends for a long time. 😅😂 but it was fun being with them (now are all in separate careers so we rarely have time to hang out together.) Sometimes they have these grand ideas of doing things like writing a series of stories or designing attires for characters but they each kinda get stuck on things - intj was a very detailed person and gets stuck with making sure things work well. Like doing the "future worries" instead of tackling what is currently at hand. While intp was stuck on many "what ifs" and had the tendency to change things so she's always just at the starting point. And then there's me and i just sorta wing things. Like when they wanted to write a story series, they were both good at building the world and their characters but at the end of the week, the one who's actually written something was me. 😅

I'm an ENTP. Things I have to share about these types : ENFP : Know A LOT of them. But somehow I always get stuck trying to type them. There's something very natural coming out of them, like I can be myself and somehow not get stopped by any social barrier. Unless there's some romantic shit going between said ENFP and literally anyone else in the room. Then you're in for a long evening of wingmaning. Which I always fuck up because part of my personality is sabotaging every person's agenda I can see through. INTP : My funny little minions. For some reason I attract them. One bit of overheard nerdy conversation, and a general approachability on my part and boom, I got myself a follower. When you get personal with them though, they're actually very considerate Teddy bears, always ashamed of what they are and having to "inflict" themselves on a group. Take care of your INTPs folks, they're fragile. The dynamic we've got with my closest INTP friend is a funny one : I always think faster than she does, so I get to say the cool thing first, then she'll hold a grudge of some sort for stealing her wits, and attack me personallly and reveal my flaws. ENTP : Who the fuck wants to talk to an ENTP ?! Goddamn we're unbearable. I surprisingly don't know many. The younger ones (below 30 years old) are such a pain, too opinionated, too competitive. The older ones ... Now we've got something. The older ENTPs I got to know are individuals full of doubt, not quite sure of anything, yet knowledgeable in terms of theory. What's enjoyable is they stopped judging people based on assumptions and just display this unfathomably liberal view of life like : "Yeah, some people behave in a fashion that doesn't always please you ... You should learn from those." INFJ : I don't think I know any personally. I've come across some, mostly in a work environment. Such interesting people : they repress their emotions in a very unique tortured way, unlike we ENTPs do. I guess we represent opposite ends of a spectrum : the ENTP will work towards neutrality, which makes us unreliable. Whereas the INFJ will work towards reliability, and never be neutral. All that makes both types hypocritical in their very own way. Unrepressed ENTP cockiness betrays an actual sense of care, whereas displayed INFJ empathy hides an actual lack of real interest to get involved in your life. ENFJ : I never recovered from my relationship with an ENFJ. Please stop being THAT cool, then turn into a monster of expectations. On a non personal level : ... Nah I can't actually do that. You guys rock my world. INTJ : Every time I meet an actual INTJ, there's an eerie sense of mystery surrounding them. And I can't say it's unfamiliar from what I'm actually displaying myself. There's something in your eyes that says "I'm slowly working my way up towards something, but I won't tell you what." That I pick up instantly. Overall our interactions are short, but very rich. I alaways get a sense of mutual respect, some exchanged classiness between both types. I'll talk to INTJ about the drink he's drinking up at the bar, turn into an actual conversation about the history of cocktails, some chick will pass and hit on the both of us, not quite decided which one she wants, and we'd just amuse ourselves by boring and bullying her at the same time. Weird dynamic, but definitely worth a taste.

do you mean that your ENFJ expected a lot from you ?
@JoeLaFigue4 жыл бұрын
@@liliaelle317 Yes, I do. Now it's going to get personal, so I know I can't attribute everything to the ENFJ type, the person is also responsible in this. The problem I had was she expected me to always be on her side, no matter what. If she made mistakes, I had to understand where those mistakes came from, and be happy with just understanding. The problem is, the ENTP type is exceptionally neutral, I will stay impartial to my own demise. The only thing I could say was "I love you, but ... this and this and that ... why did you do it ?" (we're talking hardcore cheating which I forgave multiple times) And somehow I ended up being the douchebag for talking about it to my friends, seeking goddamn help because I knew I was being partial : I accepted being cheated on because somehow that's who she is and I have to admit to this day, I still love it. Even this part of the relationship was ... exciting in a way. It felt good to be with someone who is 100% themselves. What felt bad was the impossibility to express my honest opinions on the matter, which would have been in the lines of "I don't even mind your sexual drive, as I benefit from it too but ... can you at least include me in the process when you plan on 'having fun' instead of me worrying like a moron." So that's basically the story. I had to show love, to show devotion, acceptance.... I had to just be everything to a point of stupid perfection, while I was kinda getting a cold treatment because she was "hurt too many times", "it is hard for her to trust people". On her side of the argument she would say things like "But I'm the only one who understands you, who listens, who gets literally what you are." And she had a point, but I just missed ... trust in a way, and felt blackmailed by the sheer power of her amazing character.

We went to the same two schools and I spent a lot of time hanging out with him at my grandmother's house. Probably the cousin I got to hang out with the most as we were closest in age and vicinity and it was always so much fun. Such a cool dude. Works as an electronics engineer, loves to work out in his home gym, lusts after high performance cars, very into Game of Thrones. A big fan of some nerdy things. Very smart in a hands-on way and has a very cynical dry sense of humour. Not the most feely type as far as other people's feelings are concerned and sometimes can make you feel like an idiot and like they don't care about you but someone I was lucky to have had a lot of time getting to know as I grew up. I suspect that I have often zeroed my interest in on INTJs/INFJs in the past at school and at university but I can't be sure of their types. I find them really hard to tell apart at first. And being me, I'm always testing my assumptions. To me the ones I've seen seem both sweet and innocent and yet they have this incredible, slightly dangerous intensity in their eyes at times. Ouch! Maybe that's just INJs in general even though I can't fathom how that could be except for Ni. I know I've not been into every famous or well-known INJ. I think my two major high school and university crushes were lead Nis and very likely both INFJs. But who knows. Me: INTP. Edit: I'm so confused right now. I'm not sure what these other people's types are. I had enough problems typing myself. 😭

I'll list the 4 best picks, in my opinion. ENTJ are the perfect ally if you share the same goal. If you don't, they are your worst enemy. If you do happen to share the same goal, they are basically a better version of you in terms of what they can achieve, but odds are you are more intelligent, and you will both mutually accomplish more as a team than you would individually. The key is to be needed as a major advisor. ENTP is generally the best friend figure for INTJ. They actually have interesting things to say and don't start crying and screaming when you tell them truthful answers to their questions. They love to talk about philosophy and politics and are highly argumentative, just like us, and they don't get upset when we inevitably defeat them in debates; they love the challenge just as much as we do. These are my favorite other type. ENFP are annoying, but they can be charmingly annoying. Their confidence to do whatever they want without being embarrassed is admirable even though the stuff they do is usually not interesting. They tend to be nice when they realize you don't have any friends, and can do so without smothering you because most of the time they're busy with their other more extroverted friends. If nothing else, they improve the general mood just by being in the room with you, but they're best kept as minor friends than major. INFJ are chaotic. They could be either very good or very bad, just like the ENTJ, but the bad INFJ are even worse. It all boils down to if you share the same moral principles, such as honor, animals, kindness, art, or whatever. If you do not value exactly the same thing, they are extremely, extremely annoying and unpleasant to associate with. If you do, they can teach you to be less cold in how you speak and you can teach them rationality. I'd say these probably make the best romantic partner for INTJ, assuming it's a good one and not a bad one.

What you say about your connection with INFJ, gotta say it does resemble what I, as an INTP, have got with my ISTP brother (so were both Ti Doms) We've had a lot of differences in our youth, and we still clash from time to time, but if we have a topic that interests both of us damn... We can speak about it like I can with noone else and we actually get each other (most of the time) on a level that I haven't yet gotten with anyone else.

INFJs: I've had good and bad experiences. We can be friends, like 2 peas in a pod even. However, I don't wish to go deeper with someone that just agrees with me to keep the peace. ENTPs: Some of my favorite peeps have been ENTPs. They might appear a bit rough on the surface, but that's usually when they're being playful. I know it annoys some people, but it just amuses me. They're not afraid to be themselves and will absolutely let me know when they disagree about something. We can have intelligent convos or mindless shenanigans. They can be encouraging in a positive light or... well, they do like to play devil's advocate. They keep me on my toes anyhow.

So by the comments I guess NT's mostly like and fit good with other NT's. I don't have any NT or NF buddies, my only good friends are an ESTJ and ISTJ, our conversations are rarely deep or emotional. It's mostly jokes and fun smack talk. But I know that when it gets ugly I can always count on them to be there for me, and they always follow through. I think that for me a Ni/Fi INTJ they are the best friends I could ever ask for.

For instance the average male and female INTJ are more likely to select different types as friends.

I have very few friends that I actually enjoy being around but my #1 best friend is an ENFP. She is the only one who can get me to do random spontaneous things and actually enjoy it. The ExxJs however are very intriguing to me. I like to study them and I've had a couple of interesting conversations with them but I personally wouldn't hang out with them. But I do find I mostly work best with NTs. Also, I've never noticed this but when you talked about how these friends are the one's who dont expect much from us I realized how much I chose friends based off of that. As soon as I'm pressured to do something with someone by that someone I immediately loose interest in being around them. Great video Lindsay! Quite accurate, my brother is an INFJ, we get along and yes, we speak the same dialect, my best friends are an INFP and an ISTP, we get along, we understand each other, not all the time, but it's quality time; while my boyfriend is an ISTJ and we have an understanding, but sometimes I'm very abstracte, that he start to ask questions, he says that he likes a lot that Im not afraid to answer anything, that I know how to explain myself to him, because he is more asocial that I am, yes, as an INTJ, a depressive one, people think that Im to confidence and secure, because of the way that I speak (yes, I work with a lot of people and I have to deal with them), so they say "you're not introverted", I don't look like, but I don't share my world with anyone, just with my close friends..

I love the conversations I have with my INTJ friend. My cognitive thinking is INFJ - we usually have very similar goals, morals, and plans but our approach differs. I have to warn him though because I believe his outlook on people seem too dim or discount them (which I understand, hardships sometimes hardens the heart). He tells me though that I should 'cut people out' and 'trim the fat' (people who aren't up to par). It's a healthy balance in our friendship though. Where I try to bring compassion into consideration he helps and has guided me thru a hard time I had with someone with BPD who I didn't want to give up on.

Don't understand it but so true. For the longest time i thought talking to people was just useless until i learned about mbti and determined i was intj. Very interesting. Part of me wants to disregard these categorizations of people, but at the same time it’s entertaining and has a lot to it. My best friend is an ENFP. My best debater friend is an ENTP. It’s almost unhealthy how heated the arguments get yet we continue as usual. I also have an ENTJ friend which is always the odd one out at gatherings. Last but not least, so spot on about ISTPs. My brother is an ISTP and he is that high energy doer. If I want to get positive and creative juices flowing, I just talk to him and we both get so hyped on the possibilities of what we can do while we’re already doing some of it in real time. Full of ideas. Not to mention they master skills like nobody else, so if I need to hire for a skill he possesses, I’ll go great lengths to try and get him to be hired. He moves at such admirable speed. Dated an INTP. Incredible mind, but lazy. It’s like the lazy version of the INTJ in many ways. Anyway, enough rambling. Good work. I see many INTJ females doing videos but so many of them don’t seem to be honest about their type. Seems hard to believe their INTJ-ness. You seem genuine.

(I don’t know how else to put it) I often hear INTJs raving about how ENTPs and INTPs always provide them with that lovely debate and brainy stimulation they need to get by, by ive never heard an INTJ who seems to value ENFPs as much as you do. Maybe my Ne gets in the way of my INTJ friends, idk. Thank you for your kind words, anyway! I watch your videos a ton, and as a viewer I love you in the most platonic way possible

I’m an INFJ and my ex was an INTJ. The way we saw the world and our goals were very similar, and we had very intelligent, interesting conversations which is what I really admired about him. At first it was like a dream, and we always got each other. However, over time we didn’t work when it came to understanding each others’ emotions. I would express how I felt to him about certain things, and he would say I was being too emotional and give me the silent treatment. I think he was just a narcissistic INTJ (he cheated on me, never apologized, acted like he didn’t do anything wrong, manipulative) that used his functions for the wrong reasons. But any MBTI type could be a narcissist, so I like to think other INTJs are probably pretty cool lol. I’m with an ENTP now (2 years) and I’m a lot happier in this relationship. ENTPs aren’t scared to express their emotions, and together we have a mutual understanding when it comes to how we feel thanks to extraverted feeling :)

I don't know many INTJs in real life but I love them. As an infj though I have discovered that sometimes they assume that because we have FE that we expect that from them. I'm so in tune with my introverted functions that most of my closest friends are FI. I love and respect that function so much.

I think my wife might be an INSP. She's introverted almost as much as I am, but seems to cope with social situations much better than I am. She's also a doer. The two of us are quite a formidable force for making things happen in creative ways when we work together. She also understands me and makes me feel respected, trusted and valued. I'm still not quite sure what romance is supposed to be, but I know that what we have together is my own personal idea of a great relationship.

This was pretty spot on through my experiences as well, at least in terms of people who I naturally get along with. My closest friends though I find are simply the most loyal. Even though I have things where I don't really agree with them on I'm chill with just letting them slide and resisting the urge to tell them they're wrong. One's an INFJ the other is an ESFJ. And yes I tend to get along more naturally with the INFJ. I find I get along with INTJ friends really well, we just don't see each other unless we both have something we both are already wanting to do.

Since everyone is sharing their own interesting options on the matter, all based on our own experiences, I want to post mine too, because, why not? I will use a different system to categorize them, though: 1) The types that I meet more abundantly, and that mesh well with me: ENTPs, and ESTJs. I do not why, but it seems to me that they follow me, everywhere i go I meet a bunch of ENTPs and ESTJs, and for my good luck, I do form good partnerships/friendships with them. ENTPs are great for conversations and I find their debates and shenanigans very entertaining, and ESTJs (mostly female, BTW) have this straight-to-the-point and practical way of being that I simply love. Plus, all the ones that I've met have a great sense of humor and loyalty to their friends that I greatly appreciate. 2) The types that I meet less abundantly, but that mesh well with me: ENFPs, INFPs, INTJs and ESFPs. All the types here will make sense but the ESFPs, I suppose; and i will admit, maybe they're not my closest friends, but I always have a good time with them, it feels like we actually think the same things, we just have different priorities in live. Or maybe I've met them so much that I know how to get along with them. Who knows. ENFPs are my kryptonite (what a surprise), and my only *best* friend s an INFP, we've been together for more than half of my life, so yeah. You just have to learn how to deal with their emotions, though, since they have their hearts on their hands. INTJs don't need explaining, LOL. 3) The types that I've just met just one or twice but where an instant "click": INFJs and INTPs. INFJs, lovely people, I feel like we live in a constant state of mutual admiration, I admire their x-ray vision for understanding people's emotions, they admire our logical way of analyzing big situations; one INFJ did scare me, though, because he was DEEP into astrology, tarot cards and weird shit that freaked me out, but, oh well! That Ni dominant click is hard to ignore. INTPs are absolutely adorable, they're like VERY DISTRACTED child geniuses, very peaceful, and involuntarily hilarious. ISTPs and ESTPs are a wild ride for me, because I could either get along REALLY well with them, or I could have nothing tangible to get along with them (they're very practical people) and be there just... awkwardly trying to end the conversation.
