Many monastic communities offer the public the opportunity to visit for a day or longer stays for a weekend, week, etc... I did two weekends at a monastic community. Pure oasis from the world of stress. Recommend it to everyone.

The Grande Chartreuse is also in a remote region of France. It is located in the Chartreuse Mountains, north of the city of Grenoble, in the commune of Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse, France. You might not be able to get any connection to anything there even if you had the proper equipment.

It is not a hymn, that's for sure. Any one of the psalm melodies, chanted with no vigor.

I'd say they sing Psalm 148 or the litany from book of Daniel (Dan 3,57-88.56) because of the many iterations of "Benedicite" (praise). It's a generic type of chanting that you will find on many monasteries where they pray in gregorian chant. One of them would be Stift Heiligenkreuz in Austria, they also have some CD publications
