"What would you be right now if you had an infinite amount of time and money" this is the question I always asking in my brain since money isn't my intrinsic motivation. My Answer: I would help people by counselling and promote mental health for the world. Thank you now I got clear myself.

This is such an important factor! Resiliency and intrinsic motivation will help you succeed through all of the highs and lows of further education. I think the medical school interview is the perfect time for intrinsic motivation and drive to shine through. Hollistic admissions combining standardized test scores, challenges to learning, unique experiences/perspective, and intrinsic motivation through the statement and interview is the way to go! Some schools are definitely on the right track with hollistic review changes.

Intrinsic motivation is so important for me, cuz extrinsic motivation only helps when I am making goals and decisions, it somehow never works when I am trying to reach my goals.

Awesome talk!!! A lot here which is applicable to every facet of your life. Really thought-provoking, and made me take pause to consider about all the hoops I have jumped through, not jumped through and why I made those decisions.

This is deeply resonant. The unstructured nature of the complexity that social relations is entangled in cannot be engaged from the known or extrinsically. The map is not and will never be the territory.

I wonder if income can be a part of intrinsic motivation in some cases. Motivation is obviously a huge part. In my case, I am totally motivated to be part of a medical profession to help people, but to be able to do so, I need to be financially stable. My goal is to travel around the world and provide medical help to those that can't afford such things. Therefore, money is a part of intrinsic motivation because without it, I am in no position to help others.

This was a very insightful and motivational TED talk on intrinsic motivation as it pertains to professional and graduate school applications. Behrouz presented a compelling story about the path to his own entrepreneurial success and his discovery of how intrinsic motivation should be screened for in graduate and professional applications to find people who are truly passionate about and personally invested in their field.

Isn't it the employers job to psychologically motivate their employees, simply meeting their basic needs is not going to make them productive and its quite easy to give a compliment and make people feel apreciated.
