Thanks Joe! I'm using c4d for work (trained in maya) and I was able to rig a chinese dragon with full ik controls/pose morphs/constraints etc. thanks to this series :) absolute lifesaver!!

Recreated the pantograph that was exploding in pose morph, using bones and constraints. Works perfect. Thanks. It was all in Part 1.

To scale the whole bird rig you just put the joints and the model objects all into the same null, then hold 5 and scale it up or down. I do it with mixamo animated characters and it works fine.

An alternative to changing the Range Mapper Input Upper degree value is simply to double the Output Upper to a higher value, and you would get the same result.

16:04 - Perhaps the problem here is that the pose morph tag was set up to points before the object was editable. Good to know that when you're setting up a tag the object needs to have the correct attributes.

C-Motion was a revelation to me. I will try to send the my pose morph file, but I am rural and moving large files is difficult. That said, after watching parts 1 and 2, perhaps I should change from pose morph to constraints. That may be my problem. Thanks.

Hi Brian, Thanks, I'm glad you like CMotion. If I am right about the kinds of things you are working on (mechanical locomotion) it might be a really useful tool. Constraints are definitely important for this kind of thing.

Excellent once again. Loved the mistakes turned to learning moments. I have used the PoseMorph to move mechanical things like the pantograph scissor-mechanism of an old trolley car. They work great when stationary, but they "explode" into an unrecoverable mess If I move the pantograph/car in space. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Could you explain what in Pt.4?

Thank you! Yes, mistakes = learning opportunities, thanks for pointing that out. Not sure what the exact problem you're having with the posemorphs. If you send a file where it is happening, I can look into it and mention it. They shouldn't explode like that. Sounds like your making something interesting.

The reason of error with Pose Morph on 17th minute is adding/deleting new Vertices to Mesh. Its forbidden to do it with Pose Morph tag, all poses stop working immediately

This tut showed me how to rig and then 2024.4 came out now the weight painting has totally changed and I don’t know how to use the new brushes can someone help me understand what changed? Smooth add etc simply doesn’t work like it use to. They added some brush types so clearly things changed also pose morph no longer works what happened!?

I believe you CAN make the bird Align to spline path like you tried but you accidentally made the bird a child of the bird's own eye. So that's why it wasn't working.
