Ren started out only producing beats. He began rapping because he couldn't find any rappers to work with where he lived. Excellent breakdown. Subbed.

I love thst you've revisited this. The problem with blind reactions, although we love that first reaction, is so much is missed. With Ren there are always multiple layers. Things you may even have to google to really get. On the surface it appears hes rapping nonsence at times. But when you dive into it, he's saying some really deep stuff. In this, all of the people he refernced have overcome adversity to get to become the legends they did. They had the 'hunger Django reinherdt - was badly burned and told he would never play the guitar again. Jesse owens - was a very sickly child whos mother performed surgery on him brcause they couldnt affird a doctor. Hallelujah - took 10 years to write and perfect. Sinatra - overcame sever depression. Im sure there are layers even underneath all of that too. He is truly a genious. Thank you for this. I'd love to see more reactions like this. ❤

I'd second this. Kid writer/illustrator here, and a lot of what I'd written were internal rhymes and such (I felt so happy when I recited the first couple of pages of my Duke Day for Annie (a friend had been a childhood friend of Duke Ellington), a teen friend happily squealed I'd written "bars"). I look for influences on what I do, which is more of the visual papery thing, but music profoundly impacts. Learning from the kids, so to speak.

REN is one of a kind, literally…nobody’s does what he does… you should listen to REN’s tracks “power” and “animal flow” and also he does “sexual healing” with Chinchilla, they’re busking and that is legit my fav duet of theirs they are both immense…. you should also look into REN’s band, they’re called “The Big Push” and one of my favourites is they’re interpretation of “I shot the sheriff” which is also performed busking on the streets. He is genuinely another level and I love watching people react to him who have no idea who he is proper love it 😂💜
