Hi Stuart 🙂 Do you have idea why I can't hear any words or identifiable sound after more than a month since my cochlear implant activation? I only feel heartbeat or electrical pulses in my left ear and faint bell sound on my right ear. I hope you can guide me. Thanks 🙂

I saw your comment on another video - I asked how many mapping sessions you have had? You are newly implanted and very recently switched on, and I wouldn't want to saw what is or isn't normal. However, mapping sessions are critical to get your hearing where it needs to be.

Thank you coach Stuart. I have 3 visits to my audiologist since my activation. is that mapping already? I noticed recently I hear this sound, like coming from fan or ac on my right ear and faint sound, like metal clank on my right ear. But no words or regular sounds yet. I consult this to you because most of the videos I see on KZbin and read on the internet says they hear sound or words on their first day. Thank you.

@@billsanchez5854 Yes, I do believe these sessions are / have been your mapping sessions. I'm sorry you're disappointed by your hearing experience so far - there may be other medical reasons why you're experiencing a delay, but PLEASE mention this to your audiologist. Where do you hail from?

Hi coach Stuart. I'm from Philippines. My cochlear implant is in Dubai. My cochlear implant team is very supportive and they say what I experience is normal because the results varies with patients. I hope I will hear words and other sound soonest. Please advise if you will find additional tips on how I can possibly expedite my hearing. Best of luck to you. Thank you.
