I can relate to Farzad's story. My parents immigrated to the US in 1975, in their 40s with 4 children and practically no money. I was 12 years old. So thankful for their sacrifices, they both passed this year, only 2 days apart.

I can't believe how closely your life parallels my own. I built each successive role on the experience of the previous ones. I became the only person who understood computers when the IBM PC was first introduced into the company I worked at. I created the help desk system for this state-owned utility. I progressed into an IT research team that was built on the (at the time) rare computer skills. After 32 years of service in that company I accepted a redundancy package and took a year off. But like you I couldn't sit still doing nothing. So I started a new career in photography, built my own studio and made a little money. All through my entire working life to this point I was also a working musician, mainly rock-n-roll but nightclub work and private gigs. This progressed into me putting away the bass and mixing front-of-house for bands and stage productions and studio work. I am now 80+ and still active, pottering around in my little home woodwork shop. Like you I also have a fantastic wife (married in 1968). Not wealthy but secure (and we own a small number of Tesla shares) and we are still happy.

Thank you Farzad for your openness. I am 77 years old young entrepreneur sold my companies 6 years ago. Now I invest in young entrepreneurs and shares like Tesla. Unfortunately four years ago made a mistake did not buy a Tesla but a Porsche Taycan beautiful good driving car unfortunately with software for a steam engine. But hey I still learn every day. You are never too old to learn.

I so enjoyed this first episode of The Maverick Mind. I’ve always enjoyed Larry and now there will be a program he will present on regularly. I was glad to hear Farzad’s resume as presented by him, sure helps set the context for his channel . Im really looking forward to future Maverick episodes. If they are any way as compelling as this one, I will be watching and waiting for them. Thanks to both of you for this fine episode and for envisioning a future that is exciting, educational, and inspiring. I know the Maverick mind and it has taken me fare and wide into a life of adventure and challenge, I’ve got some battle scars and some cherished memories and a life worth reflecting on, in my opinion. Now I have a new word for what drove me-Maverick. I look forward to learning more of what Larry has to say about Mavericks.

Really enjoyed your video together, great interviewer and great interviewee. So interesting to hear this story from beginning to current date I am certain Farzad will continue to succeed in whatever he choses. Both players have so much respect from their peers and I love watching as many of their podcasts as possible. I mostly go to Herbert Ong to see all the regular co-hosts and guests. I am interested to know Farzad who your friend David is that you mentioned a couple of times. As a Tesla investor myself starting from 2020 and still investing after encouraging many friends and family to invest in Tesla as well, It is so good to see the several generations involved really taking an interest in investing in this great Company. May your wishes for the future turn out well Farzad especially with your loving wife and hopefully three children, I am in my 86th year with good health with three very lovely sons and 4 grandchildren, so good luck. Kind Regards John. Cambridge . U.K.

Love this direction Farzad! This seems to go back to the podcast style discussions you had with Hans during the election. I think you have great content, style, thought process. I really enjoyed the days too where you would discuss the state of legacy auto as well. Please pick up on that again if you can! One suggestion which I am sure you are working on is raising production quality. Great sound, ambiance, stage really makes the presence greater. Looking forward to more!

Fantastic concept! I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops. You might consider using a broader sound setup or different microphone arrangement, and perhaps sitting facing each other. I understand you're used to sitting alone in a room speaking to a camera, but when you're having a conversation together, it feels more natural to turn toward one another.

Have more kids. As a grandfather, I can say that’s the best thing you can do to make your parents life completely fulfilled. I started my TSLA investing after the 5-1 split and follow Tesla, everything Elon closely. Elon is living the American Dream. He should be everyone’s hero. I am a retired military/airline pilot who spent their entire life constantly searching for a company to invest in that was the next apple. I’m now retired and I enjoy watching my investment grow making more money in one week than in a entire year as a commercial airline pilot.
