Seriously I saw that this video was about an hour long and I almost did not watch it because I am working and did not think I had the time. I am glad I did because this was soooo helpful in helping me understand domains, which prior to watching this video my understanding was blurry. Thanks for taking the time ti describe. I have to audit networks and understanding domains and their function helos a great deal. I just subscribed. Awesome video for beginners

People may not realize how clear you speak. You enunciate everything to the point that I can double the speed of your video (x2 from settings) and still everything sound clear and normal :) I do this with other videos, I understand them but they do not sound natural. It's if you slowed your normal speech speed to half of your normal speed?
@NeoCodingGod4 жыл бұрын
@Jackie O That wasn't my point. I am a native speaker. I was referring to a quality he has in his voice/delivery & I do not think he meant it to be so. Wow a reply after 4 years! This is science fiction ! :)

Eli, just would like to thank you for all of your kindness and dedication on sharing your, so vast, knowledge. I'm getting into the servers right now and trying out the samba server that became very much like you said, it may or may not work well with windows. If you have some good sources (easier to understand) about the subject or you have a video you already did or plan to do, please let us know it! Again, thank you so much for the simple language and easy to understand conceptual class!!!!

Please increase the input volume for us. Thanks.

Pretty sure the networking+ has been updated so you'll want to learn the newer stuff. Learning all the old 2003 stuff is still useful though as if you go into a company that uses the old systems, you'll know what you're doing. If you can get hold of VMWare Workstation and the server software, its good to setup domains etc in that and play. Set them up, break then, then work out how to fix them.

Hi Eli... Thank you very much for your videos! They've cleared up a lot of doubts in my activities as a Systems Administrator. One question though, when installing a second domain controller (& subsequent ones say third, fourth and even fifth domain controllers), in the T.C.P. / I.P. configuration, do I add that server's I.P. address as the primary D.N.S. or the I.P. of the first domain controller?

@Durd3n001 It's Windows 7 Professional... One of the pains of dealing with Microsoft is they change the names of their products with every edition... Basically you just need the "business" edition of the OS. (NT vs 98, XP Pro vs. XP Home, Vista Business vs. Home Premium, 7 Pro vs. Home Premium...)
