These vlogs are like we're Facetiming! Loving every second. I have to listen to music whilst I read. I focus on the book and the music is in the background. But the music levels up the reading experience. Especially when the songs match the vibe of the book. I will then place certain songs with certain scenes in the book, so listening to the song again reminds me of those characters and the scene from that book! It levels up the emotions and the characters! Especially with a matching playlist.

Steph you should try listening to brown noise if you're reading in public or a noisy area. I do this at work and it blocks out every other noise but doesn't distract me when I read. ❤

i read in silence or replay the same song over and over again because it kinda relates to the book and then when i listen to book later i end up associating it with a book idk sometimes its a random song that doesn't relates to the book but they just go together in my head so ill read and listen but sometimes i cant handle any sound cause it disrupts my imagination and thoughts

I can’t choose what I wanna do with my life, there are so many cool possibilities that I don’t wanna choose one and dismiss the others! I think that is partly why I love reading so much, it allows me to “live” or experience all these different lives of the characters. Right now I’m still a student, doing a double major in neurobiology and artificial intelligence, so either i’ll end up being a software/robotics engineer in the neuroscience direction or I’d love to open a bakery book-cafe. It would basically be a bookstore (where you can buy books or maybe even ‘loan’ books to read like a library) with a cafe that has delicious lil treats and coffees (including matcha cause that’s my favorite:) ). The whole ambiance would be super cozy, with big poofy chairs and couches, some soft instrumental music in the background, and I would organize events there. Events like an author coming to read a paragraph of their book, a themed night where treats/drinks/decorations are all inspired by the book (or book series) of the evening, and bookclub meetings to discuss everyone’s thoughts about a book!

I can't read with music or tv on BUT I always (daily - rain, hail or shine) read while laying on the couch that is on my back outside deck... Soooo i can hear neighbours, cars, birds which is better than complete silence and tv/music sounds.
